So here is a small guide how to craft all the swords on Serpent's Call. I hope this can help you when you dont know what to do anymore:


To unlock the upgrades for all swords you must first fill up all soulboxes on the map.
The challenges and Easter Egg steps are not needed for this.
The soulboxes are easy to recognize. They are the glowing skulls lying on small pedestals . The color of the glow shows you what kind of enemy is needed for the soulbox:

Purple: Apothicon Furys ( 5 - 9 Kills )

Green: Normal Zombies ( 10 - 15 Kills )

Once all the soul boxes are filled you can get the sword wonder weapon from the Throne Room.
This is free and it can be picked up again and again as long as you have no other swords in your inventory.

This step also unlocks all other sword quests


Each of the swords has the same first step. Once you are in possession of the normal unimproved sword you can start the upgrade process for the other swords. To do this, go to the castle and place the normal sword in one of the sword holders. You can repeat this for each elemental sword, but keep in mind that you will have to re-equip the normal sword each time.


The next step is to fill fire zombie souls into the different soul boxes that are distributed on the map. These are the same soul boxes that were used for the fire staff in Origins.

To create fire zombies you have to lead normal zombies through the fire of the fire-breathing lions so that they start to burn. You can recognize these zombies by the fact that they explode as soon as they die.

In total, you need to fill 3 boxes with 6 souls each to complete the upgrade.

As soon as you finish this step you can pick up your improved sword in the castle.


To complete the wind improvement you must now find 4 orbs on the map which are noticeable by a slight shimmering sound and a white effect pillar.

As soon as you cross them or touch them lightly you will be paralyzed for 15 seconds and can hardly move.

Find all the orbs and this step is completed.

As soon as you finish this step you can pick up your improved sword in the castle.


To complete the lightning upgrade you need to activate the lightning token found in the power area. This will create a glowing orb that will slowly move towards the castle.

As soon as you lose sight of it or move too far away, you must repeat this step.

When the orb arrives safely at the castle and flies into the sword holder, you have completed this step.

As soon as you finish this step you can pick up your improved sword in the castle.


To start with the upgrade go back into the castle where you should see a glowing ghost between the fire-breathing lions at the entrance of the castle.

A player can pick it up but be careful, as soon as he receives damage the ghost falls to the ground. If you can't find it within 1 minute or you have problems with zombies it will go back to its original spawn point.

Bring the ghost to 4 containers that are distributed on the map. These are the small hexagonal stones from Origins that have a green crystal structure on top which is green.
These start to glow white once the ghost has been brought there.

As soon as you finish this step you can pick up your improved sword in the castle.
