Yea i was wondering the same thing, if i had one suggestion i would say there should be either a list with there locations, or put them all new the start of the mission cause some of us (me) would like to play the whole game in third person.

I agree, you also lose it after some cutscenes and set pieces and whatnot, it could be given back...
I cant seem to find the item anywhere on the package and pillar or autumn.

Are they available in firefight?

Winter Contingency - Once you get in the truck after you fight that squad of elites go right and in the house connected to the Garage where another truck is there will be a Third Person ability in the fireplace

Sword Base - Go up the right ramp where the first elite is then take the pathway to the right that goes behind where you spawn in the mission

Nightfall - After the first area with enemies go left toward a broken bridge instead of right and the ability will be on the broken bridge

Tip of the spear - Behind the fuel rod turrets near some rocks

Long Night of Solace - To the left behind you when you start, you can actually see the ability in the starting cut scene

Exodus - Behind you at the start of the mission

New Alexandria - Also behind you at the start of the mission, can be seen in the starting cut scene

There are no known abilities in the rest of the missions unfortunately
