Instructions on how to use this mod in its current state on beta 1.2 and previous version. You MUST complete the fix BEFORE you can do the workaround for v1.2. You will not be able to edit your troop tree in v1.2


This fix does NOT work on v1.2 only previous versions.

For everyone who wants to use this mod you have to edit the troops.xml file. Locate the file where you installed the mod. Open the file with either notepad or visual studio. Roughly half way down the file the elite troops start. For every single elite troop you have to change the line that says is_basic_troop="true" to is_basic_troop="false". This will fix the mod. I recommend starting a new game after making the changes.


To use on v1.2 workaround.

You have to export your troop tree in the tavern on a previous version. Then import the troop tree on v1.2. Don't try to edit anything about the troops as it will crash your game but the other functions work.

EDIT: Workaround unstable during some battles, recommend changing save interval to save often.
