Report a translation problem
I recommend filtering the weapons in the type and tier to find your smithed weapon.
I always name them something special to know that it is MY army weapons.
When I load up my unit template in a fresh game, the units only load with the vanilla equipment, unless I first load up the save from the game where I created the weapons and the unit templates, then they will load up fine. I'm guessing the game has to load and store the smithed weapons.
Any new game started up that way works fine until I save and exit the game, then the save file will crash when I try to load it up again. Tried a few workarounds, such as first loading up my aformentioned smithing save, starting a new sandbox and importing the unit template before loading my save but so far no go.
I did create my units in batches I.E. uploading my unit template saving and taking a break, and so far I've only been running it with the final template loaded, if that makes any difference, which does work fine and load everything when I start a new game.
Is this the case for using smithed weapons or is the issue possibly elsewhere? I'll try to get a crash report when I can find where it is saved.
Edit: forgot to mention only mods running is this and all 'recommended/needed' mods,harmony and such
I was also running UnlimitedCAP when I made the units, it didn't seem to affect it or new games, and I've attempted starting new games with it off with the same results.
Theres nothing I can do about that sadly. Since smithed weapons do not get transfered between saves.
There might be a tutorial on how to export smithed weapons and import it into another save but I don't know.

And for maybe a mod that allows for the creation of 'armory' mods out of smithed weapons would seem to do the trick, although I'm not experienced with mods, but basically a mod that allows you to smith weapons and dump those files into the creation of a new mod kit/armory, then load that up and use it to dump your weapons into the unit templates, load up your custom mod before your unit template every game and GTG.
Time to figure this out xD
I mean, if a weapon is custom from it's id, then export all it's param to a secondary file ( just like the troops.xml but for weapons ) wich can be import the same on a new file, allowing our troops to get the weapons from start ?
Or a secondary system ( a checkbox ? near the prompt after forging a weapon ? ) to "save" the weapon just like the troops ? anyway i really want a system to export my weapons to work with your mod.
