For those that don't like the PNG or sounds
I've seen people say that the PNG and the sounds take away from the scariness of this nextbot. Feel free to make a copy and change it to your liking! Changing the PNG is very simple; many tutorials go over how to change a nextbot's texture on youtube. But here's a quick guide for the sounds:

As you use gmad.exe to extract the addon file, there will be many files in the 'sound' folder. Here are the ones that matter:

close_stalking_1.wav - is the quiet metallic noise you hear when he is stalking and getting closer

close_stalking_2.wav - an alternate to close_stalking_1.wav that plays 50% of the time

chasing_ambience.wav - is the sound you hear the moment he starts chasing you. This sound doesn't lose volume as he gets further away from you.

chasing.wav - the scream that comes from Gargitron's position while he's chasing you. This one will lose volume as he gets further away.

Any sounds you replace those with will behave in exactly the same way that the current sounds do. The sounds have to be 16bit .wav format to work. Can't wait to see what you all make!

I'm having trouble finding the addon file, is it in Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons or somewhere else? Is it named something weird? thank you for the help.

That should be the right folder, as far as I know you need to launch the game once for the .gma to show up. The name should be "gargitron_nextbot_2868173930"

Nowadays gmod addons are contained in the steamapps/workshop/4000 folder.

Thank you so much, I was wondering about this. I think putting an image of something like a mandela catalogue face and maybe some audio from it would be terrifying

can someone make a video guide on sound replacement? the sounds wont stop playing, like the chase music wont stop playing even after the nextbot is gone into stalking, nor deleting him will make sounds stop
