FlexPoser: Real-time face tracking and animation
Can someone suggest to me what type of webcam with be good to use Flexposer with?
I'm working on a machinima Halo/GMOD machinima called M.I.H. and I found this addon recently. I was thinking of using it for the machinima on some of the scenes that may require lip-synching instead of helmet-concealed faces talking. The only problem is that the webcam I tested this addon with is a iHome MyLife Notebook webcam and it is terrible for this addon! I don't know what the frame rate is, but on Amazon, it said that it has "UVC Technology - Driver Free Installation, 5.0 Megapixel Max Resolution, Motion Tracking & 3x Digital Zoom, Snapshot Button & Built-In Microphone" yet the picture is slow, blurrly, grainy, and (I don't know if I can really do anything about this but) the contrast is high for some reason. It's only good enough for Skype, not for Flexposer.

Any advice on how to change the settings that are on the webcam or do I really need to get a better webcam. If so, please suggest what type would be good for it.

(I think this is obvious but I don't know anything about the quality of webcams so please work with me. Please stay professional with your answers. I will report to the moderators if neccessary. Thank you. :) )

If picture is blurry, you need to focus the camera. Any cam will do. There are no bad cameras being manufactured. It's all about experimenting with settings and making correct light around you. My $2.50 web-cam that I bought 8 years ago is fine when I tune it's settings so yeah..
