Future Plans
What's Happening with the Map?

My current plans for the map will be to update it if it needs bug fixing or if I feel like adding any extra areas or rooms to the map.

Originally I was going to repack the map with all of the content, however, it became quite a large undertaking due to the amount of models and textures used within the map itself. Possibly there was an easier way that I am unaware of, but my current method was to use GCFScape to comb through the .vpk files and pull out all of the content listed by VIDE as being pulled from other games. It wasn't so much that it took a long time, but rather it was the fact that a lot of models used textures with different names than what the model was called, meaning it turned into a game of Where's Wally when it came to finding the associated materials and textures for every model.

Currently all textures for the brush faces have been found, and some for the models, but the rest have yet to be identified. I have saved everything I've found so far and will possibly revisit the idea later once University starts back up, where the plan may be to upload a separate version of the map with the packed files, due to the size difference between packed and unpacked.



What's Coming Next?

I'm working on another map, one which I am hoping to reduce the number of textures and models for to make my life a bit easier. I'm also working on creating some custom textures and content for the map as well, and have created a set of blood decals that I plan to use in it. I have reconfigured my version of Hammer++ to exclude some games that I was using before. However, there are still a few games in that list, so there is still the possibility that assets will be pulled from a few sources. If it comes to that, I may pack from all of them, or from certain unpopular ones to reduce the number of dependencies on the end user, but either way, prepare for some downloading.
