An idea for Tarnished Keeper (Note: This is based off of the assumption that the Tainted Tainted Keeper art on Reddit is what will be used. My reasoning for this is that the TT art for Isaac, Magdalene, Cain, and Judas have already been confirmed to be used)

Gimmick - Time is Money

Tarnished Keeper will automatically start off with 75* coins and the Deep Pockets item. All coin drops have a higher chance to be doubled or upgraded (penny to nickel, nickel to dime), and coin drops are much more common in general. The shops will be normal, except the price for everything being marked up. The real trouble comes with the fact that Tarnished Keeper's coin count will be rapidly* draining, and if it hits 0, Tarnished Keeper will immediately drop dead, completely ignoring resurrection items (Dead Cat, Lazurus' Rags, Ankh, etc.). On top of this, when Tarnished Keeper is hit, he will lose a small portion of his coins. (Another possible idea is that the game speed will also gradually slow down with the coin loss, playing into the "time is money" theme)

Aesthetics - Similarly to Wario Land 4 (which is where this idea sprung from), the lower Tarnished Keeper's coin count drops, the more monochromatic the world around Tarnished Keeper will become. This change will start to become become evident if Tarnished Keeper's coin count drops below 50*.

Item? - Similarly to Anemic, Tarnished Keeper could also leave a trail of bloody coins behind him. Whether or not this would do anything would be heavily subject to change, as it essentially is a copy of Anemic. Theoretically, if an enemy dies while it is standing on the golden "creep", it would drop a coin, similar to Tainted Keeper, except the coin would not fade away. The coin would also be subject to the bonuses that Tarnished Keeper inherently has. It could also just not do anything. As a side note, if the "creep" did end up being purely superficial, then the creep would be over ridden by all other creep types in the game in an attempt to prevent confusion.

tarnished apollyon
all consuming emptiness

unlock method:
beat moms heart without using abyss for the entire run as tainted apollyon

appearance
apollyons stone shell has crumbled away to the point where his head is completely gone with only the shifting void within remaining, his torso also has several cracks around the neck area

gameplay
tarnished apollyon cannot increase their stats by picking up items (aside from health and angel/devil chance), or swallowing pills, and starts with the pocket item null

null
absolute nothingness
when activated it consumes items similarly to void, increasing random stats, the differences from void are as follows
-active items effects are not inherited and instead are converted to stat ups like passives
-pickups can be voided as well and give temporary stat ups that last for the rest of the floor. the type of stat depends on the pickup (keys = range, bombs = damage, hearts = tears, pills/cards = random (stats decrease for bad pills), coins = luck, batteries = speed, sacks = 3 random stats) and the amount increased depends on the type of the pickup (doubles, soul/black, golden etc)
-all enemies in the room are dealt 10 damage and each enemy killed by this will permanently increase a random stat by a small amount and increase the damage dealt with null by 1

birthright effect
"lasting oblivion"
all stat increases from pickups are halved from now on but will also be permanent

idea: tarnished eden already start with chaos as a item, but also every single boss (except final bosses) can appear in the stage, and this happend with enemies too (except the special enemies from the transcend stage), and his activate item can be the glitched dice, the item can turn every pedestal item into a glitched item, or it can turn every enemy in the room, into a random enemy same thing with bosses and final bosses also will be turned into another random final boss.
My idea for Tarnished Samson is endless rage
Here’s my idea!
-Stats are random like normal Eden
-Tainted Eden’s idea of changing every hit
-Permanently starts with chaos with a twist. (can’t be reroled)
Chaos twist
-This chaos not only drawls from every item pool, but randomizes bosses (except story bosses) and has a 50% of spawning a glitch item every time a item spawns and in creases by 25% after ch. 4!
Starting item is Glitch Dice
-6 charge for use, 12 for full power!
-effects of D6, D8, D12, and D20
(one at a time and 25% for each)
(Two at a time at 12 charge)

My idea is that he starts with chaos(Permanent) and a pocket item which rerolls everything (Uses all the dice except for D100, D7 and D infinity). it has a 12 room charge. He gets rerolled after defeating a boss and whenever he gets hit. If he rerolls an item with the pocket item it will turn it into a glitched item. The pocket item will also glitch a room making it a random room from a random floor (like in the void.) His birthright would let him keep his items that he has collected so far like tainted Eden's birthright. All bosses are randomized (except story bosses). And his unlock method would be to beat mom with less than 10 rerolls.

Alright, hear me out on this :
Tarnished Lost :
Better Mantle
No Items


Every item pedestal is replaced with a random pickup, except for deals : angel deals become a holy card and devil deals become a rune
Mantle regens every 30 seconds ?
At the end of every floor you gain the choice of upgrading one stat (through guaranteed pills maybe ?) by +1 (atk, tears, range) or by 0.25 (spe, shot spe)

Design goals : Force the player to dodge by giving them longer fights, but compensate with a regenerating mantle

Birthright effect : Allows boss items to spawn
Idea for tarnished Samson, his thing is that he is on a timer and when it reaches 0 he dies. The timer would be a minute long and 1 kill adds 2 seconds. He also get 5 seconds added to the cap after each floor. If he kills enough enemies he gets a small damage and speed up for the rest of the floor (about 15 kills). He always has berserk active. He starts off with Samson's stats but he has lower damage than normal (about 1 damage since berserk's 3x damage.) His birthright gives him a damage up and each kill adds 5 seconds to the timer. You unlock him by getting a 25 kill combo in berserk mode as tainted Samson.
i think for tr eden everything is randomized. like the bosses, enemies, rooms, etc...
And the unlock for tr eden could be like go an entire chapter (two floors) without taking damage as tainted eden.
i have an idea for tainted jacob and esau

his stats would be the same as the regular jacob and esau but he would have two diffrent body's his pocket would be soul swap so details his main thing is he could have to diffrent body's and each would have diffrent tear effects jacob would freeze and poisen then esau would have the pop effect and he wolnt have eyes and he has evil eye the downside is that you have to protect both of the body otherwise you die
Tarnished lilith : she cant shoot and receive double damage (Like judas) but she can spawn a random friendly enemy, any time she spawn a friendly enemy she will gain a "the Wafer" effect if the friendly enemy still alive, if you have a friendly enemy you can use it to get a devil deal item at cost of lose one of the friendly enemies.
What if he was the opposite of T.Apollyon where the items are a locust of a random kind and his pocket item turned it into an item, locusts also have increased damage and slight homing. He could also be mainly turned into the abyss instead of only a part of him being the red swirl.
Concepts for Tarnished Bethany
I had an idea for Tarnished Bethany's gimmick so i'll just place it here.

Unlock: Have 3 item wisps from the same item pool as tainted bethany.

Flavour Text:

No Hearts

Better Wisps

Starting item: Grand Grimoire (Pocket Active)

Starting Health: 6 unfilled bone hearts and 6 Broken Hearts

Damage: 3.50

Tears: 4.20

Speed: 1.00

Range: 8.00

Shot Speed: 1.30

Luck: 0


Tarnished Bethany's gimmick would be that she can't have any Red hearts or soul/black hearts. The only hearts she may have are unfilled bone hearts. Like the other Bethanys she will instead use these hearts to charge her actives. Mainly Grand Grimoire. The wisps produced by grand grimoire (Details listed below) Now are invincible, and if bethany we're to die, instead the wisp is destroyed and she is given 3 bone hearts (still unfilled) If all her wisps die in the same room the necronomicon effect activates and she gains a spirt sword style attack. The spirit sword resembles the Grand Grimoire. (This effect in my head is similar to tainted eve's sumptorium mom's knife wielding effect)

Birthright: Capacity Up!

Doubles the amount of wisps tarnished Bethany can have at one time.

Grand Grimoire (Active, 12 room charge)

Upon use creates a special pink wisp. This wisp fires your tears with the same fire rate and tear effects. The wisp orbits close to your character akin to those created by Book of Revelations. Using this item in certain rooms may cause the wisp and tears fired by it to have other effects. You can only have 3 wisps at the same time.

Angel: Wisps have a lower fire rate and shot speed but now home in on the enemies. They are now white in colour

Devil: Wisps have higher damage and gain the effects from eye of belial. They are now black in colour.

Secret and Super secret: Tears have a chance to destroy rocks, secret room doors, and regular doors like terra or sulfuric acid.

Ultra Secret: Wisps tears have a chance to spread anemic blood on contact with the enemy or walls. They are red in colour

I AM ERROR: Wisps tears have random effects like fruit cake. The wisp is all glitchy in graphical design.

Planetaruim: The wisp now instead of orbiting you goes and orbits an enemy while you are shooting. It is invulnerable in this state.

I hope this gives the mod creators some inspiration for when they get to making TR bethany.

Idea for Tarnished Forgotten: Soul can't pick up skeleton, but he can shot tears and possess skeleton for a while.
