FAQ
A bunch of frequently asked questions:

  • How do I build ships?
Every ship above a corvette can only be build on one of the Shipyard Megastructure

  • Which dlcs are needed?
At the moment the game requires Apocalypse for the Deathstar
and Megacorp for the Rebel Outpost Mechanic.
Furthermore some empires can be picked as Megacorps if you have the dlc enabled and as regular empires otherwise.

  • Can I create my own empire?
No, this is too much of a task to do because this mod wasn't built for it.
But you can modify existing empires via the top country file.

  • How do i do a clean reinstall of the mod?
After unsubscribing and verifying your game files, you can
go into your steamapps folder and from there into workshop/content/281990 and search for 2583755721 which is SW New Dawn. Delete this folder if it is still there.

  • Can I use other mods with Star Wars New Dawn?
Since swnd is a total conversion, other mods can break aspects of this one. Graphical mods should be fine, but most likely won't work 100%. Any game-changing mod will break something unless it is attuned to swnd.

  • When the game is crashing/ or not starting with the mod and you are on Windows

    by The RMG Stealer Price

STEP 1 : You need to enable hidden folders.

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.

    1. Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.

    2. Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

    STEP 2 :

Navigate to C:/users/(your username)/AppData/Local (disk character may vary if you have more than one, always use one where you have your Windows installed)
There you will find Paradox Interactive folder, delete it.

    STEP 3 :
Go back to AppData folder and open Roaming folder. There you need to delete Paradox Interactive and paradox-launcher-v2 folders.

    STEP 4 :

    Navigate to :
C:\Users(yourusername)\Documents\Paradox Interactive folder and delete contents of Stellaris folder. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO DRAG YOUR SAVE GAMES FOLDER to safe location before deleting contents of the folder, or else your precious saves will be gone! You can drag it back once you're done with the fix. Also remember to trash your recycle bin or Windows will read that the files are still there and fix won't work.

    STEP 5 :

Open Control Panel and go to Programs and Functions. Proceed to uninstall Paradox Launcher v2. Once it's done, launch Steam and run Stellaris. It should install Paradox Launcher once again. NOTE : You might need to run the launcher few times to let it download all updates.

  • When the game is crashing with the mod and you are on MAC

    use bootcamp.
