issues with pathfinding
Hi,

I love this mod for the flexibility of trucks but would it be possible to optimize pathfinding of trucks?

If there are 2 trucks entering the station immediately after each other, the second truck takes the very same lane than the truck before him although several other lanes are free. This delays (un)loading and with road trains it often blocks the whole station for all other incoming trucks. This has nothing to do that there are no other lanes assigned to that route or that the trucks belong to the same route.

Would it be possible to set a different lane for each truck entering the station whereas they pick them in order of availability. If none are free the next truck waits before entering the freight station.

Or is this pathfinding related to the game itself and this should be addressed by the devs of the game?

I dealt with this by putting a Waypoint at the entrance to the multi-stop area and then ensured all the routes had it as a passthrough just ahead of the station. My guess here is that a truck will pick the particular station lane as its targeting the station as a whole after leaving the prior leg. By adding the waypoint right ahead of the station you are making your trucks pick a lane just before they enter the area and have a better chance of spreading out across the available lanes. Its been working great for me.
