StormFox 2, NikNaks and the plan for the furture.
There is an important vote regarding StormFox 2's future on the Discord Channel.
The vote will end in two days and will decide if SF2 will require the library “NikNaks” in the future, or a new version of StormFox.

I’ve spent the last few weeks on making an advanced lua-module called NikNaks. It is faster, more stable / reliable, works on all Source maps, can even render other maps live and 100% Lua. No DLL’s required.
It will offer new options for features, stability, up to 80x faster loading maps and so much more.

Why?
Water, windows and other map-features are only supported 95%, as GetBrushSurfaces has a few bugs, and a lot of new features I want to add, requires another approach.

What are the options?
A : Make StormFox 2 require NikNaks. The module will be on the workshop after a week or two.
B : Make a new StormFox version that use NikNaks. ( No new features will be added to SF2 )

What should I do?
I will keep you updated and give plenty of time if we're going to use NikNaks. Nothing will change yet. :2017stickydrink:

I think create a Storm Fox 3. Better compat for older players.

Maybe make Stormfox 2 more compatible with gDisasters tornadoes.
Add heavy rain to the tornadoes when they spawn. In some cases, the rain will be so heavy, you can't see much in front of you, like a thick fog is surrounding you along side the heavy rain.
You can also make it to where if you are close enough, the tornado won't pull you in, but it will keep you from moving away from it, like the way the heavy wind works, just centered to the tornado. The degree of the wind intensity will vary from tornado type.

question is, does this have EVERYTHING from the first one but better?
man wish other mods like gbombs or gdisasters supported the new one, idk what one to get 1 or 2
