Playing as West Aversarian
Is it really worth it to play any country there? As the big boi tribal empire will just come and make you landless with no hope of fighting back...

Well, if Cenwar ruins your day, you can disable Imperrech in the game rules, but otherwise you will indeed have a rough time defending against his 9000+ stacks alone.

When he dies, his empire is destroyed, so if you can somehow plot to kill him, you're safe

All the difference from just disabling his empire would be the 'Do or die' atmosphere, but yes, that's a viable solution

Played as that Purest chosen one and before Cenwar even stepped foot in Aversaria I killed him in a plot xd
No need to plot necesaryly, ruins rp for me instead I think its better to face him head on if you can trap some of his armies in battles that are not worth it they wont do it
so he will fail his conquest

I'm playing Aeschraes, kidnapped Cenwar and sacrificed him for lots of magic (Aeschraes is basically a gnarled up lich ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, so it feels RP-appropriate). His empire crumbled immediately. Playing Aversaria in general is a challenge since your levies are crippled forever, but you can buff up your forces with Holy Orders, mercs, MaA and bloodthralls. Holy Orders are probably your quickest option if you're playing one of the smaller rulers (like Aeschraes) since sacrifices give you tons of piety, pretty much everyone is religiously hostile to you, and it's not like those extra baronies are gonna be making money for you any time soon.

Regardless of whatever cheese, you can just vassalize to Cenware when he shows up, as an event gets sent out to you offering it.

Where does the Legacy of Elysia -70% levies come from? Can it be restored?

It exists at the beginning of the game in Aversarian provinces and it goes away after a certain amount of time I believe but it is at least a few decades.

I submit myself with a religious exception and got a hook on him to get the can't revoke titles in your feudal contract. You still lose out on your land's culture being wiped out, but you are alive, and you can always promote your own culture.
