The Shell is Z'othra.
the Shell is Z'othra. it is his body separated by his soul, why does artificial god instantly delete him from existence and say "Don't come back."? because he is Z'othra. he controls gravity, like those directly related to him: Dwade the Fallen and Star Glitcher. the Shell ALSO possesses the power to power up people's power with the Soul Strengthening Aura ability, just like how Z'othra's soul itself does. and the fact that the Shell's stomach has a hole shaped as the soul of Z'othra while his name is "The Shell"? if this isn't enough proof then i don't know what is!

EDIT: i also forgot to mention that the soul of Z'othra basically gives life to the Shell after they approach each other, and the soul explodes/disappears, why does it do this? because it now lies in it's rightful place. inside Z'othra.

If you blow zothra up with an explosive he starts glowing and if he meets with the artificial god it creates a black hole

You don't really have to blow it up, if you kill it in any way it powers up and all of its abilities become stronger.

mmm very good theory my friend

also note how star glitcher doesn't do anything to the shell, which is pretty damning evidence that z'othra and the shell are one and the same

If you put Dwade near the shell when it has Zothra's soul in it it also makes it glow purple. Also when the black hole thing happens if you put Artificial God near it a dialogue also appears on the lower right corner of the screen so yeah pretty good chance it's Zothra.

The shell needs to be powered up (glowing purple) for the black hole to occur since Zothra will only face Artificial God when he's at "full power"

Would make sense if some part of Zothra was inside Dwade all this time which would explain

- the "voices" in the flavor text

- why Dwade powers up near Zothra's soul (given how the soul "enhances" the power of the gifted, i.e. in this case enhances Zothra's power inside Dwade)

- or why the shell powers up near Dwade (Dwade's power reunites with the shell although Dwade doesn't actually lose the ability)

very cool yes

nice thinking. In my head canon i thought that the shell was what the gifted made to counter artifical god.

Yes, in his third stage it says something different. I don't remember what it says tho.
