People, do NOT skim through this. Almost every detail in here is vital if you want to get the mod working for the current version.

Get to Riften and talk to Svana Far-Shield at Haelaga's Bunkhouse. No need to complete the dialouge. Go into the command line while still in chat with her and do "setstage AABALOpeningDialogue 20". Enter it, close here dialogue, then go and talk to Havleif Vintertell and finish that dialouge. Go back to Svana after you are done and open the command line again. Do "setstage AABALOpeningDialogue 30" and enter it. If you dont have the money, the Alpha chest should have enough to buy the land so take from that. Talk to Havleif again and buy the land for the standard 15000 Gold. You will then have a new map location Northwest of Riften and close by called Vintertell. You can fast travel to this by default. This is for the current version as of the 22nd of January 2014. If you have trouble locating it, it is nestled in the mountain northwest of Riften on the righthand side of the mountain.

When you go to it, it's a shack. Your quest will be re-updated and you will then go back to talk to Svana at Haelaga's in Riften, and she will direct you to the advisor(Read the quest, he is in Solitude at the Winking Skeever and his name is Mavik Georlund). Currently the mod does not have quest markers, but it does have the location of Vintertell. You must complete everything I have told you to do above for it to be able to be seen. Continuing. Once you have talked to Georlund at the Winking Skeever in Solitude, you'll need to pay off his 1500 Gold debt with the owner of the bar, Corpulus Vinius. Go through the standard dialogue for it, pay it off, then go and talk to Mavik again. He will tell you he is ready to get to work and the quest will be complete. A new quest will come up once you're done with the dialogue. You must go to Vintertell and meet Civen.

After you have talked to him and persuaded him to work, go all the way back to the Winking Skeever in Solitude again and talk to Georlund. Once you have finished, you will need to hire a Mill Worker at the Heartwood Mill. The Heartwood Mill can be located on Lake Honrich and/or west of Riften. Like before, once you have talked to Grosta at the Mill, head back to Mavik and talk to him again. He will direct you to an Iron Miner, Beitild, who is located in Dawnstar at the Iron Breaker Mine. Go back to Mavik once done talking(AGAIN) and speak to him. Finalize everything and then, get the Blueprint for the Simple Farmhouse from him. Agree to building it and go to Vintertell right after you have finished the Dialogue.

Congrats! You have finished the farmhouse. Now go back talk to Mavik inside your house. Buy the 20 cords of wood to build the fence off of him, then build the fence. After you have completed this. Talk to him about building more 3 farm houses so that other residents will move in. Buy the needed supplies from him(I think it is 600 Lbs Iron, 3 Tons Stone, 12 Cords Wood) and then, once you have gathered enough, build the three farmhouses. The tenants will move in immediately after you have done all of this, and you will need to continue to talk to Mavik to learn about the rent system. After you have learned about the Choffer for your town's gold, you are done. Now you can freely build you city!
