Example:
Unsmelted Iron
Unsmelted Ebony
These would not be the same as ore so that might need to be addressed, meaning a separate list of how many "Unsmelted..." required to make the ingot. Seems pretty straight forward no matter which was you go with the descriptive word. I was just thinking Unsmelted would be a little more clear.
But wouldn't it feel odd to place an item in a smelter and recieve an 'unsmelted' ingot? honestly 'Unsmelted' is less fitting than 'Dirt'.
* For example 3 "Scrap" Iron or even just 3 (Iron) scaps give you an (Iron) ingot.
As for the designation of the recycled metals I go with "Scrap" too, for clarity. "Dirt" kinda covers it as well but indeed sounds less appealing, "Impure" seems like it implies less sturdy metal. And sorry, but "Unsmelted" doesn't make any sense at all IMHO.
I'll have some scrap then!
