Incorrect TDC AOB calculation bug. Calculating the opposite way
Hi, I posted a discussion previously regarding this issue. Unfortunately during that time my internet died and couldn't get the chance to upload my screenshots. I've been having this issue ever since I downloaded the mod, and I have had to consistently input the wrong AOB in order to get a proper (in reverse) calculation. Not sure if i'm doing something wrong, but chances are there's a bug that needs to be addressed here

Hi Coelacanth007,

Without a screenshot it is difficult to localize the problem. The AOB is not determined by the TDC. It is set and follows the UZO/Periscope if the TDC is locked for this.

Maybe you can upload screenshots.

Hi Coelacanth007,

Does this bug appears when AOB is close to 180, or more precisely when (due to bearing) it crosses 180 degrees?

I can send you some screenshots I took last night. It happens no matter the target bearing

How can I upload my screenshots? They're on my page currently in sequential order. But I can dm them to you. Not sure how to upload them in the discussion

We will analyze it.

Is the dial "own course" (Lage Feinanzeige) activated?

Cheers Ruby

Yes it is. Everything is activated

The AOB caculates as if the ship was moving away from me (away from my 0) instead of toward my 0 degree bearing. Its really strange.

Hi Coelacanth007,

Thanks again for your screenshots. Everything looks correct, I can't find any mistakes.
You locked the AOB with the bearing. "Own course" ist not so important for this example. (Parallel course)

Screenshot 1 "AOB inserted TDC"
--> Bearing 285°, AOB 87°
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2218360083
Screenshot 2 "AOB after another 3 min interval is way off"
--> Bearing 257°, AOB 60°
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2218360083
At the first measurement (screen 1) your bearing is 285°. You are still behind the ship with your sub. The AOB can't really be 87°. But that is not your problem.

The problem is, you pass the ship and your bearing is in screen 2 only 257°.
This is exactly the deviation AOB 87° to 60°. (27/28°)

You have passed the ship and therefore the AOB is reduced.

When you reached 285° bearing again ( slow or stop the boat), AOB will be 87° again.

So when the aob is greater than 90 it will calculate as if the ship is moving away from me?
