liking it a lot so far! I've been bopping around the world having a great time!

I would suggest arranging a permanent location for Pai Mei, though. I've been tromping around Clownsteady and the surroundings for AWHILE and I haven't seen him yet.

I dunno if it's related either to "I already started Hong Wei Ting's sidequest" or "I've toppled the UC and now the Empire Peasants run Clownsteady" or if I'm just that bad at finding him or he failed to load or what. It'd be much easier to know for sure if he had a set location he stuck to!
OKAY! I completed the sidequest and finally managed to find and kill Pai Mei!

Some thoughts:

1: I don't know why, but I ended up having to re-import without dead NPCs to get him to show up in Clownsteady. I had already taken down the Slave Markets and the Slave Farm before I went looking for him, so maybe his appearance was affected by another mod that affects world states? I have either Reactive World or Living World active (I forget which is which; I'm using the one with Realpolitik)
2: I think the two weapons this mod adds are WAY too much, especially combined with the stuff in Martial Village. Fighting Pai Mei (after the import) came down to who swung first and nothing else. Even when I fight a bunch of people with heavy armor, and even if I hit something non-vital, I do anywhere from 3 THOUSAND to 7 THOUSAND damage and instantly kill them through bleed (I usually hit around -700 blood when I send an arm or leg into the stratosphere). These are "one-shotting Leviathan" numbers! It could be the fact I'm crafting them myself and making them Edgewalker quality, but even his own jank-tier (Ancient, I think?) fist is doing an insane amount of damage. I definitely think they need nerfed.
I get that lore-wise that Pai Mei should one-shot people, and that therefore any weapon designed to bring him down should also one-shot him back, but this just seems way too much. Since it's supposed to be after someone takes five steps, maybe something that substantially hikes Dexterity would be better? That way you're not just knocking people into the stratosphere and it instead just kills very quickly. It would also still make Pai Mei a terrifying threat as he should be. (I sent a Holy Nations guy about 50 feet into the sky when I took his leg off. Hilarious but WILD).
It's also possible this is being affected by Military Craft, the combat animation mod (not to be confused with More Combat Animation) but in my experience so far Military Craft actually slightly nerfs the damage Martial Arts does per hit. They hit a bit faster when they swing but do substantially less with each swing.

Another idea might be to further nerf damage against Skeletons/etc. and increase the damage
against humans and maybe Sheks, specifically. It's lore-wise dependent on knowledge of biology, so it'd make sense if it was drastically ineffective against Skeletons. Genuinely think -95% with the other stats would be sufficient against Skeletons because the numbers I'm hitting are completely out of control. I do agree with it being able to completely ignore armor, though. Because it should!

3: Genuine question: where'd the Embroidery Fist stuff come from? I think it's really cool but I don't remember it from Kill Bill (it's been a long, long time since I watched it though). Is it your own original stuff? I dig it!

4: Sorry if my numbers are way off, for full disclosure I'm using multiple mods to crank stuff but my experience was even without all that someone working with 15 martial arts and no other buffs can do 700+ damage to an armored opponent with the Embroidery Fist equipped.

5: Interesting note: turns out that no amount of damage makes someone invincible. I sent two guys into Blister Hill with Edgewalker 3-crafted Embroidery Fist and fully kitted in Masterwork-quality Ancestor gear from Martial Village AND with claw weapons from one of those mods (I forget which, there's several) and they still couldn't solo the entire city. ("Only" killed 1/3 the population lmao). I found this funny because after the first time I sent someone's arm to the next dimension with a single punch that sucked the blood out of their body with how much damage it did, I just assumed this was an insta-win button, but it turns out death by a thousand cuts can still get you. (Neither of those two was maxed out on stats, but they weren't pushovers either. Mid to high 70s BEFORE factoring the gear on most relevant stats is pretty beefy!)

6: I get the lore reason, that Pai Mei is just a title and not referring to a single specific person, but it's still (mildly) disappointing his appearance is random. Not a huge deal though.

7: I LOVE the look of his gear, would it be possible to get a blueprint added for it to the game? (If you get it from training under him I apologize; I kind of just beat him to death on my fifth time save-scumming post-reimport to test if it was doable.)

Some questions:

1: Is being able to recruit Liu Karang specifically tied to the world state of whether the Holy Nations are dead?

2: How hard would it be to get a No Cut Efficiency patch for the gear, or a Military Craft patch for Pai Mei? I know both mods have guides on how to adapt them.

All in all, I really like this mod! Thanks for making it, I've been having fun playing a save of crazy jackass monks who roll around collecting bounties and putting on more and more martial arts-buffing stuff as fights grow more 'serious'! It's pretty great fun to have a losing fight turn around into a bloodbath when a Skeleton disables all limiters and starts Embroidery Fisting people into next year!

Lol I'm glad you had a blast with the mod. Thank you for the great feedback! Yeah the weapons are super op and definitely need to be nerfed a bit. I wanted make Pai Mei on the level of the Bodhisatva (that guy one shots anything pretty much), but may have overdone it with the weapons. Will rebalance!

The Embroidery Fist lore actually comes from the original kungfu movie "Fist of the White Lotus" where the hero Hong Wei Ting learns the style from a woman to defeat Pai Mei. So this mod adopted that storyline into the quest lol.

I can't remember if I actually made Liu Karang recruitable. Gonna have to go look at her character setup again. I know my intentions were to make her recruitable after you help out the Flotsam Ninjas a couple times but can't remember if I actually implemented that trigger.

I'll look in to the patches for NCE and MC.
