LAG Complaint Department
It seems a lot of people are having issues with lag, myself included. Many "fixes" have been suggested, those being (from what I've seen): deleting unused addons, lowering graphics quality, and "get better pc." I myself have what I'd think is a decent setup, although I don't entirely know the specs. All solutions I've seen presented seem to work, but to varying effectiveness per person.
So I'm making this thread so we can all pour our complaints and solutions into one spot without having to search through the comments, feel free to report your own issues with lag and suggest possible solutions.

i have about 200 addons, i play gmod at max graphics and i get around 300 to 200 fps in this map, my specs are a gtx 1060 6gb, 16 gb of ram and an i7 7700k, honestly dont know why i dont lag but yeah

like, a year ago this map used to run as smooth as butter on my old prebuilt. not sure where this mapper dropped the ball. buddy's gotta fix it sometime

if you,re using the npc addon lowing the ammount of npc,s that can spawn will help your pc alot

Yeah I got a high resolution computer and this map used to run hella smooth. now it's just dying, even the day one is. and it is the map, not the addons, cause all my addons load in just fine on any other map. its this map in particular. like I'll see the map for a second and the game has a heart attack.

more addons (or addons that have bad code) = more lag.

really bad pc = map fails to load and crashes gmod instead.

this map is pretty big either way so that might be why ur lagging,, even if its not the addons.

From the very beginning, the map did not lag (3 days after subscribing to this add-on), but after I wanted to play online with a friend, it began to lag. Both online and offline

Oddly, maps like these are actually not laggy if you host it on a server, it's less heavy on a server than you hosting yourself

yeah i also noticed this a while ago, when i hosted my own server with my pc with around 200 addons i would get 50 to 70 fps, joined a friends server and i would get 300+ fps

from what i've heard, this map is the maximum size a map can be, and it has a lot of detail in it (plus a lot of world props). no matter your specs, there's a pretty good chance that it'll lag out for you. gmod is built on a game engine from 2004, it wasn't designed to handle stuff like this, and even on modern gaming hardware the engine just can't handle it. sometimes you get lucky and you'll be able to run it at a good framerate, sometimes not. all i can say is i have a 1060 (3gb model), ryzen 5 2600 and 16gb of ram and it runs pretty well for me.

A few months back, I was getting 55 - 60 fps on my Ryzen 5 3400G, now I'm only getting 20 - 30 fps? Did the map developer add some new updates that ruined the fps? I really enjoyed playing on this map.

Yeah it's really weird, I used to be able to run this at an almost constant 60FPS but now i can barely maintain a stable 30
