[Support] Technical Issues
Here you can submit any technical issues you may experience with Galaxy at War.


To avoid frequently asked questions see if you have the following checked

***Make sure Men of War Assault Squad 2 is updated (Version 3.262.1)

**Some mods might interfere with Galaxy at War. If you have troubles be sure to disable the mods you already have first to determine if it's a GAW related issue.

*If you have received a specific error message or in case you didn't find an appropriate answer to your issue; visit our Discord https://discordapp.com/invite/2btAvrT and post the error message under "troubles-crashes"


****If your mod does not show up in the mod section
-> try to unsub -> restart steam -> resub to gaw -> "wait for steam to complete the download" -> start the base game -> go to options -> mods -> apply gaw + the localization file (if you want it) [you can find a link to the localization (french or english) files inside the mod description]

****In case your mod does not show up under options/mods
-> go to your Steam/common/steamapps/Men of War Assault Squad 2/mods directory and check if there is a "star wars - galaxy at war - public version" folder; in case there is not; unsub to the mod -> restart steam -> sub again -> wait for steam to download the mod (6.6 gb in size) and try to apply the mod after the download has been finished.

****in case you experience missing textures or missing assets
-> go to your Steam/common/steamapps/Men of War Assault Squad 2/mods directory and delete the galaxy at war - public version folder
-> after that steam will re-download the mod
Note! that the entire mod is about 6.6GB in size so to download all of it can take time some time. To check if steam has downloaded the entire mod see if the galaxy at war folder in the mod directory path described above is at around 6.6GB in size.

*****NOTE! (IN CASE WE UPDATE THE MOD)!?

We recommend to delete the mod from your mod directory!

To do this -> locate your steam directory -> mowa2 directory -> delete the "Galaxy At War" mod folder and all that is inside!

Afer you have done so. Steam will update the mod to the newest version.

How much do you need of the log stuff?

the log only shows whats the cause of the crash but ofc the important lines I need are only the last when the crash just happened

thats not the reason it crashed. If you have discord you can fire it up join our gaw discord and hit me a pm so we can sort this out.
I am attempting to use the multiplayer function to play an assault point game. For me there are no SW factions, only the vanilla game factions can be selected. Is multiplayer enabled or will I have to set anything up in the editor version somehow? I only recently started playing the game.

There is currently no multiplayer in the mod

Why can't the dwarf spider attack anything? You can take control of it but it won't act on it's own.

anything i can do to fix my vehicles actually walking or no or do they have to float? i have watched lots of videos and seen the at-te and other walking vehicles walk not mine tho.

The AT-TE should work as intended, some like the tros walkers float (this cant be fixed at the moment)

I think these bugs are well known..Walkers and droids tripping on things even destructible fences killing everyone inside in the process. Also the AI does not shoot if in buildings unless you shoot at them. You can literally walk into them and they wont attack.

There's also a bug in Sullust mission where several of my men disappear after reloading a game.

Other than that awesome stuff ;)

for some reason when i went to place down the z6_minigun it airborn 65th it was the 501st air born is that a bug other people have or just me? as well a the vatr25 and westar_m5
