[Support] Technical Issues
Here you can submit any technical issues you may experience with Galaxy at War.


To avoid frequently asked questions see if you have the following checked

***Make sure Men of War Assault Squad 2 is updated (Version 3.262.1)

**Some mods might interfere with Galaxy at War. If you have troubles be sure to disable the mods you already have first to determine if it's a GAW related issue.

*If you have received a specific error message or in case you didn't find an appropriate answer to your issue; visit our Discord https://discordapp.com/invite/2btAvrT and post the error message under "troubles-crashes"


****If your mod does not show up in the mod section
-> try to unsub -> restart steam -> resub to gaw -> "wait for steam to complete the download" -> start the base game -> go to options -> mods -> apply gaw + the localization file (if you want it) [you can find a link to the localization (french or english) files inside the mod description]

****In case your mod does not show up under options/mods
-> go to your Steam/common/steamapps/Men of War Assault Squad 2/mods directory and check if there is a "star wars - galaxy at war - public version" folder; in case there is not; unsub to the mod -> restart steam -> sub again -> wait for steam to download the mod (6.6 gb in size) and try to apply the mod after the download has been finished.

****in case you experience missing textures or missing assets
-> go to your Steam/common/steamapps/Men of War Assault Squad 2/mods directory and delete the galaxy at war - public version folder
-> after that steam will re-download the mod
Note! that the entire mod is about 6.6GB in size so to download all of it can take time some time. To check if steam has downloaded the entire mod see if the galaxy at war folder in the mod directory path described above is at around 6.6GB in size.

*****NOTE! (IN CASE WE UPDATE THE MOD)!?

We recommend to delete the mod from your mod directory!

To do this -> locate your steam directory -> mowa2 directory -> delete the "Galaxy At War" mod folder and all that is inside!

Afer you have done so. Steam will update the mod to the newest version.

ive subscribed but doesnt show in my mod section

*Was the mod fully downloaded before you tried the mod selection?

*Is your AS2 running on the latest update (3.262.1)?

*Go into your steam directory - > steamapps -> search for the men of war assault squad 2 folder - >
open the folder -> open the mod directory and see if Galaxy at War is inside.

*If the above checks out but the mod does still not show try to unsubscrib the mod; restart steam and subscribe again.

I've saved the mod in the mod selection however nothing will show in editor and the missions i have downloaded from a group of mods including this one once loaded comes up without a texture or any objects

Did you hit apply?

When you open the editor -> do any units or props of galaxy at war show in the panel to your right?

missions made for galaxy at war use props made for the mod including the ones already in the base game. However most older missions here on the workshop wont work with the newest version of Galaxy at War.

**See if you have other mods applied. We recommend having them disabled when using Galaxy at War to avoid further issues.

because it wont let me play the game at all it said cant load music resources

yes

Try to
- unsubscrib the mod
- restart steam
- reinstall Men of War Assault Squad 2
- subscribe to the mod again
- wait for the download to finish
- apply the mod
- start the editor

I have checked everything in editor and I can not find the AT-RT and Homing Spider droid and I have seen people use them.

-There is currently no AT-RT in the mod

-The Homing spider droid should be under cis vehicles

There are several units that have the appropriate graphical assets, but aren't spawnable, such as Anakin or OOM-10.

Some units are not spawnable at the moment because they are work in progress.

there is alot of missing texture for many things like vehicles the at-st and the republic at-te as well as most of the blasters however i really do enjoy the whole thing regardless. also thank for putting it on the work shop means alot.

Those you mentioned do have textures

Do you have an older version of GAW installed or another mod running alongside GAW?
