It could™ be that it's not your mod's fault ...

But fact is that it magically appeared with adding your mod.

Investigating...

I compared the mod with other mods that have anything to do with roads, I checked if they touch the same files.
They don't.

btw this is how it looks like in 1970:

Okay, I've no idea whats causing that but it shouldn't be my mod, it's not like that for me. Sure nothing is conflicting?

I removed it and replaced it with the previously used "Alternate road textures" and "Modern small road pavements & sliproad lining" again and it's okay.

So the older single mods were okay, the new merged mod is not.

I use an Nvidia card on Windows if that helps.

weirdly its essentially the same files. Can you try removing and redownloading this one? Then starting a new fresh map with only this enabled

It seems that with patch 27594 the issue is gone.
I have to check.
Sparky66  [developer] Dec 23, 2019 @ 9:05am
ah, the issue might have been that I updated the mod for the latest game version but you didn't, since the latest patch changed some files extensions from .tga to .dds

So, this is fixed.

But I second the opinion of klaureji that the sidewalks are too bright.

I can tone it down a little, but honestly it's very close in colour to the pavements outside my house, being light stone slabs. There's a huge variety of different shades of concrete or stone available IRL.

Fact is, the game has a static light setting, alway full sun's photon impact - this makes the light pavement "over-realistic" if you got me.

Like the lightest day of the year. Also the longest and the hottest.

Everybody needs sunglasses that day.

Yeah, it's a pain when editing textures as they always appear far brighter and more washed out when in game. I've toned the pavements down for you so they appear more grey.

Thanks, testing.

I just seems that it still creates issues, like this:

This is because many mods rely on the stock textures, and when those are overwritten it affects the other mods.

Hmm, there are still duplicate textures, like
Sparky66_better_roads_2\res\textures\streets\country_old_small_lane_albedo.dds
Sparky66_better_roads_2\res\textures\streets\country_old_small_lane_albedo.tga

Sparky66_better_roads_2\res\models\material\street\country_old_small_lane.mtl points to the .tga which got the newer timestamp.

So which one?
