The point of the skin, I think, is to be a Corpus Opticor that a Grineer, a Tenno, or someone else painted like this out of an affection for the Grineer faction. And that's something I want to see a lot more of. I'm still salty that EVE Online still doesn't let you slap a Gallente logo on an Amarr ship and so on.

That was actually a concern I had while I was making it. Because the core shape is so anti-Grineer, I'm not convinced DE will even accept it.
I pressed on making it Grineer anyway because I wanted to aim for a shared aesthetic between future skins of mine.
After spending a few days examining potential designs though, I think I can do cool things with Solaris. I'm going to try altering this to be Solaris instead

No worries my guy! It's still a fantastic skin nonetheless, and I can see myself incorporating it into my Solaris themed loadouts. I'll keep an eye out for it on the market, and I'll buy it when it debuts!

Just a new paint job, no remodel no sparkly new bit. I think this is just a cash grab. Its not worth it.

That's literally every skin. DE doesn't allow model swaps for anything other than melees, or so how I've come to understand it.

Nooo, if that is true then I'll lose a lot of respect for em... But also I guess you can always call it a Specialized Launcher remodel... Like the Hecaton for shotguns :}

It is true. They also only allow artists to make skins for a small handful of guns.

I've been a bit perplexed by the sheer number of negative ratings lately, but if the reason for many of them is that it's "just a reskin", then... I don't even know what to make of that. Relief, maybe? Not like I can do anything about that.

I guess DE business model is more closed on that section. Might be worth writing an article in forums. I as a player for 4 years i'm tired of the old models.. I want a fresh redesign something that more SCI-FI an interactive. For what its worth your skin looks nice, but I just want re-desings of old stuff..

From what I have seen posted elsewhere, changing models is limited because of how it can impact the game engine. Notice that no modular gear is up for tennogen.

That aside, I like the skin so far Grimwolf.
