Description: Expert analysis of recorded fleet engagements has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any space battle is a statistically predictable element. Each maneuver obtains a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents, while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire.

Requirements: Militarist + Materialist

Effects:
  • Research Category (Computing) Speed: +50%
  • Fortresses and Strongholds provide +1 Researcher job
  • Soldiers produce +1 Physics research
  • Start with the Specialized Combat Computers technology

That's got some oomph and a lot of character. I'll be thinking about how to tie it into something AlphaMod specific, which is something I'd like to have in any new civic.

Militarising the planet-based comms facility might be something to add (beyond the nav cap bonus it gives). +1 soldier job maybe.

Sounds cool. I hadn't thought about the comms, but that makes sense.

Mainly I was trying to explore the ways Materialism could intersect with other ethics, like with Civil Logicians. Vanilla doesn't do much in the way of that. It's just robots forever. Genetic Inheritance was a good inspiration.
