MOUSE FIX
locate the TNM.INI file that is inside of the TNM2 folder and open it as a text file
find the line that says something like "viewportmanager=" (mine was line 30)
change the line to say ViewportManager=WinDrvLite.WindowsClientLite
for some reason this fixes all the mouse issues and i got this info from a very old deus ex revision patch note

nice, thank you for sharing. An issue with older engines like this is sometimes one thing simply does not work for someone else because of hardware differences. The more options available for people the better.
