What's the Writing Like?
Is it all memey or does it echo the original game's themes sometimes? Is any foot grounded in reality?

It's pretty clever and great, at times a bit lighthearted but not in an unimmersive way imo

Think about it like forum representations of real life stuff. For instance instead of your main contact being named like "Mark Armstrong" its just "Phasmatis" and instead of "the government dignitary was kidnapped and held for ransom, we need an experienced ex-cop to come in and operate outside the boundaries" its "retired operative needs to find a moderator, and operate outside the rules of being a moderator." etc.

its not just spouting old memes like nay sayers usually stop gate people at who have only played for a few minutes or so. There are pop culture references sure, which other games often do for their times, but its nothing that will end your experience.
