ALAudio Error
Ok, having a bit of an issue. Running DX Revisions with TNM 2.0 is bringing up an ALAudio error. I have tried validating files for DX:GOTY and DX:Revisions. I have tried uninstalling both and re-installing; I have tried uninstall/re-install, validating files, loading DX:GOTY and loading DX:Revisions with TNM as per a 2019 discussion, but nothing.

Any hints?

Is the error when trying to launch Revision or TNM?

TNM. Revision works fine. I can sometimes get TNM to start in safe mode by disabling all audio and graphic options, but that's stopped working after I re-installed.

Can't you try to load it with Galaxy audio instead of OpenAL?

Interesting - when I try to change audio subsystem, the list of devices comes up completely empty. And yes, Revisions works fine and allows me to pick between audio systems... as well as allowing use of DX11, while TNM only goes for DX9.

do you have any other mods installed alongside TNM? Or simply Revision installed and subscribed to the TNM workshop item?

Hang in there, also you can try the 2009 version from Moddb to see if that works.

I've spoke to Hawk and reinstalling solved the issue, the problem was the menu doesn't allow you to change it back to Galaxy3D audio, it just stays blank when you go over to the page.
And nope i didn't had anym mods installed except TNM and Revision.

I hate raising dead threads but the problem is still there. I have done a clean install of the entire system (OS), reinstalled Steam, Deus Ex Revision and TNM. No other mods. Same audio error happening from scratch. And no, I did not do a clean install just for TNM, although it was tempting :D

similar issue or probably the same. i copied all DLLs from the main game to the TNM folder without replacing the ones that already exist. so from ...\Revision\System to ...\Revision
TNM2. only issue is that some sounds are louder than others, form example computers/generators (whatever makes that buzzing sound), security camers, etc. good luck :jcdenton:
