Done :-)
My villagers stay warm and cozy. They mostly rest up during those blizzardy days. I am a kind and caring task mistress.
Großzügig angelegt mit Obstgarten innerhalb der Mauern.
Aber leider immer noch ohne Hunde.....lol
I started at the Riverlands location and after some exploring I ended up here. My 101 villagers just reached the bronze age. This is the easy version so no need for palisades.

With so much population the map can come to its limits already sometime, depending on where you place yourself, you can mine quite extensive ore.
Is the river canyon near you? it should still be full of flying ore. According to the screenshot there are still over 100 sticks in your camp :D over 100 ore and 300 iron bars, maybe you lower the limit, towers aren't that great anyway. The traders should also storm your village, I can hardly keep up to process the whole bought iron :D
And maybe you set the bows again to 100% or are the 972 a mixture of normal and composite bows?
The other locations look different, I think if you place yourself in the middle of the Flatlands spawn, you have access to a lot of materials.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the distribution of resources seems random to me. I sometimes imagine that iron, flint, copper, and tin are randomly swapping places.
PS: My computer goes down on its knees with about 300 people :D but I've still achieved all milestones XD
PS II: You can use it as a futuristic future simulator: When all resources of this earth are used up, then you have to go back to the flint stones.
I experimented with mining outposts but they get eliminated by raider spawns quite reliably and the game does not offer anything to actually build a proper defense outside the main settlement.
Traders are indeed coming very often and I always buy any steel tools and any iron they have, disregarding the price, that is why bow production is set so high, I use them and wool to pay for the goods.
Performance is a problem starting somewhere around 450-500 people, the way the game calculates next action for each person/animal can't really cope with the mass anymore and the game starts to stutter. Worst case is when autumn harvesting with its huge number of tasks is on and the raiders hit, turns their movements into a nice slide show
All milestones done? Would you post me a nice screenshot of the milestone view for the pictures in the workshop?
Maybe I'll make a slightly smaller map with a little less space so that you can get everywhere. But actually I wanted to wait until the next game update, who knows what possibilities there will be.
Any ideas for the endgame? Large manually spawned raider hordes don't seem very entertaining to me. But it would be a surprise, after all, if 150 people attack you after you hit a population of 300 at once and the picture stops for a moment :D
In the meantime i found a way to handle the sticks issue. I set sticks and logs to 100% and simply sell off all wood when sticks run out. Quite a sight to see 100 carts leaving the village and taking down the forest ^^ and it solves the problem completely.
I still have some mines to exploit so still going on the same playthrough. I had the population up to 720 when I got hit by a unlucky sequence of events. Two times autumn was very warm and winter hit with a blizzard right away, followed by raider attacks and complete loss of the harvests. Dropped the population to 450 in no time. I decided to give it a go to see if that can be recovered and it seems like it is possible.....will post some screenshots if I make it back to 700+,
