Patch V26 - HYW Part 1/Timur Rises! - FULL Patch notes/General Discussion
Hey everyone! After what feels like months of work and sweat our patch is finally here! Be sure to check out our discord if you'd like to hear more about it, or chat with other ravenous fans who waited patiently for the patch!

I'd describe it more here but honestly I'm tired of rewriting all of this again and again. It's been a long day.

MAJOR CHANGES
- New French Vassal Type
- Arabian region touchup
- Mamluke Balance
- Timur now RISES! The ground quakes in fear!
- Complete overhaul and rework of the Persian Region
- Tons of new tags and formables
- Completly changed the Age of Feudalism Objectives, and Age Bonuses (Most suggested by a community member)
- Removal of High Feudal Monarchy, replaced with 4 triggered modifiers that slowly go down depending on your tech, so you are not completly gimped during the Feudal Era
- A few light changes to Zoroastrains
- Tons of new ideas
- Much more!

Features
- Added a new triggered modifier system to replace the "Early Feudalism" government type. Early Feudalism (Government) will exist in the files, but will remain unused. (Save compatibility)
- Added a makeshift Hanseatic League system for people that don't own the required DLC for trade leagues
- Added unique mechanics to the Hanseatic League system
- Added a unique disaster to AI France that may cause it to implode if the Monarchy becomes unstable under specific circumstances. (Francesplosion!)
- Suomenusko religion now has personal dieties
- Timurid Rulers can now reform the nation into a unique Persia tag, and furthermore change their government to be more absolute
- Unique Disaster for Timur successor Rulers, which can divide up the empire into many Timur prince states
- Zoroastrianism has received some flavor to its faith to make it more unique
- [Cradles of Civilization owners only] - Zoroastrian nations can invite an Islamic scholar from a Sunni province in their nation. By inviting a scholar a Zoroastrian nation can choose a school of Islam and gain its effects for 20 years. However during this period Sunni/Shia provinces can not be converted
- Zoroastrian nations forming Persia can restore the Immortals. Doing so grants a Military boost to your troops until the age of Absolutism, or 1600
- Zoroastrian dynastys can proclaim themselves as the Saoshyant, granting them Legitimacy and Prestige for the rest of the campaign
- The Chobanid dynasty caan collapse similar to the Burgundian succession crisis. If this happens the land is divided between the Chobanid neighbors and vassals
- Reworked the Mamluks completly, as currently they are an unbalanced power
- Berber nations now use the Barbary Pirates government type which grants the following bonuses: 10% Galley Combat Ability, -20% improve relations, +10% Trade Efficiency, +15% Privateer Efficiency, +10% Ship Durability, +15% chance to capture enemy ships

Start Date Tweaks
- Added Sami as a nation that exists in 1356 (Starts without Feudalism)
- Novgorod gained Kola and Kainuu provinces
- Constantanopole now starts with a level 2 fort, and a province modifier that gives them fort defense, garrison grown, and hostile attrition. (Values still subject to balance changes)
- Every Chinese minor is a rival of eachother. (Not realistic, but it's helped with some balance issues in China)
- Ming no longer has cores on all of China before it ascends to power.
- Navarra now directly owns Normandy, and accepts Norman and French culture
- The war of two peters and the Hundreds years war are now both the same war, this allows it to continue historically.
- Moved/added/fixed cores on England for Northumberland, York, Lancaster, and Cornwall based on the most recent English DLC/Patch.
- Sjaelland now has the "Sound Toll" Modifier
- Completly overhauled Persia
- Yuan now starts with a handful of tributaries
- Livonian Order now starts as a Teutonic Order March
- Overall development increase to Iraq and Persia as over a century before their population was greatly reduced by the Mongolians, and historically was also reduced by Timur
- The Paduspanid dynasty are the last remaining dynasty in Persia to worship Zoroastrianism
- The Mamluks now start with a vassal swarm
- Mamluks now start as an Empire rank
- Syria, Fadl, Alexandria and Anizah start released if they didn't already, and start as vassals to the Mamluks
- The Maghreb region has seen a major facelift for development, as well as many nations existing now that didnt
- Tripoli, Kabylia, Tafilalt, Sus, and Fez now exist at the start
- Serbia and Bulgaria now start as a Kingdom, but to compensate starting rulers have increased stats
- Epirus is now a Serbian vassal state
- Byzantium now starts with Morea as a vassal
- Athens is now a vassal of Sicily
- Integrated Dorbuja into Bulgaria
- Vidin now starts as a Bulgarian vassal


General
- Various tweaks to lower the HRE's chance of steamrolling the world through forming the HRE before the Feudal age even began
- Carlos II d'Evreux is now known as Charles II d'Evereux (Since he's French by heritage, and resided in Normandy for a good time)
- Charles II of Navarra is now of French culture (Navarra remains Basque)
- Removed colonial regions on South Africa and the Phillipines. That has no reasoning to be in the mod if Vanilla didn't do it
- The Great Horde is now the Golden Horde
- Tweaked various dynasty names across the globe
- Added the Baltic Crusader Modifier to the Teutonic/Livonian Orders that lasts until Feudalism ends
- Yuan is now Vanillas Yuan color
- Shu now has the color Yuan formerly had, to prevent color blending
- If Yuan loses in China they also release all Chinese nations, and returns Korean cores. (Exiling them to the steppes) #Will be Hotfixed in later!
- Added various modifiers to the replacement for Early Feudal Monarchies to simulate the Feudal Era a little better
- Timurids now use a unique Timurid Sultanate government type
- Timur can be enshrined in a mosque in Samarkand
- If Timur dies early, his successor can continue his conquests for a short time, with reduced bonuses
- Nations in Persia may offer themselves as a March to Timur to prevent destruction of their empire
- While Timur is a ruler the Timuruids gain the "Tamerlane" modifier, which lasts until Timur's death. This grants tremendous bonuses (25% Shock damage, +2 Siege leader pips, +15% Troop Movespeed, +20% Siege ability, 40% Admin Efficiency and -50% Aggressive Expansion)
- Qoyunlu is the unified tag of Qara and Aq Qoyunlu, later one of these two dynasties will come to power and the tag switches to their tag and adopts their ideas
- Many new Hussite Aspects of Faith

CB's
- Chinese Civil War CB now works for ANYONE in the east_asian (Chinese) culture group, and the defenders get the same modifiers for annexation and such that the attackers receive

Ideas
- Added Karling (Francia) Ideas
- Added ideas for the following nations in France (Valois, Normandy, Anjou, Alencon, Blois, Montfort, Picardie, Berry, Poitou, Auvergune, Bourbonnais, Forez, Dauphine, Gascony, Foix, Armagnac, Toulouse, Franche-Comte, Bar, Hainaut, Liege, Loon, Artois, Lotharingia, Arles, Aquitaine, and I'm sure a few others I'm missing. )
- Timurid ideas tweaked
- Revised Berber ideas (Barbary Pirates now include a 25% core cost reduction, Brothers Barbarossa now includes a +2 blockade impact on seige bonus, Replaced Corsairs Privateers Efficiency with +1 Yearly Navy Tradition, Lowered Galley Combat Ability to 15%, Increaseed Tuareg Cavalry looting speed to 20%)

Events
- Added event to explain Yuans situation in 1356
- Added Event to change Yuans tech group to Nomadic if they loose grasp on China, and likewise an event to return to Chinese culture.
- Removed the event to spawn Touggert
- Added a few super secret events for super secret peoples (Good luck finding them! :) )
- Added an event to remove Feudal Vassals from France after 1500 if they've not taken the integrate X Vassal missions by then, and likewise added an event to remove Feudal Vassals from ANYONE who is not France if they manage to get one somehow (Sorry, no unannexable op vassals for you)
- Added an event relating to the collapse of the Golden Horde, and the War of Independence for the Russian Minors
- Added a 7+ event chain tied to ending the Rivalry between England/Great Britian/Scotland and France (Depending on who wins in the isles)
- Added event chain for Timurids conquests
- Added an event that unifies Eastern China depending on which chinese minor from the red turban rebellion occupies Beijing. (Subject to balance tweaks still)
- Added the "Treaty of the Romans" event, to simulate Dauphine getting integrated as the place the French Heirs rule before becoming King. Includes province modifiers for Dauphine.
- Added a handful of events for Navarra, and France
- Tranoxiana will get an event in 1370 that will allow the nation to switch to the Timurid tag as well as gain Timur as a ruler
- Added an event chain that stimulates Timur's conquest of Persia and Iraq, and India. After each conquest Timur gains additional force limit and manpower recovery

Missions
- Added the French Mission tree
- Added missing Spanish and Portuguese events to colonize a few various islands
- Added 4 missing missions to the Crusader states, and included the Knights and Cicilia.
- Updated Denmarks Mission tree with new additions
- Added a Norway, Sweden, and Sami mission trees
- Added a mission tree to Normandy
- Added a Brittany/Breton Minor mission tree
- Added French Minor missions
- Added a Gascony/Gascon Minor mission tree
- Added an Aquitaine/Occitain minor missison tree
- Added a Wallonia/Walloon Minor tree
- Added A Burgundy Mission tree (Feeds into a Lotharingia/Arles tree)
- Added a mission tree to Navarra
- Added a Finnish Mission tree


New Tags/Formables/Formable Tweaks
- Updated Sardinia-Piedmont to be able to formed by a nation with Sardinian or Piedmontese culture if Savoy and Sardinia don't exist, nor Sardinia-Piedmont
- Added Aquitaine, Lotharingia, Arles, Francia, and Wallonia
- Added decisions to form Gascony, Aquitaine, Burgundy, Lotharingia, Arles, and Wallonia
- Jerusalem can now be formed by all crusader states (Athens (Occitain culture only), Cicilia, Achea (If Sicillian only), and the already existing nations)
- Normandy can form Jerusalem if it follows its mission tree
- Added the Formable Ilkhanate tag, and special Ilkhanate Government
- Added the formable Qoyunlu tag, which replaces both Qoyunlu's at the start date
- New Formable Timur Persia tag
- Added the following tags to the Persia/Iraq region: Muzaffarid, Paduspanid, In juid, Sarbadarid, Kurtid, and Miharbanid tags. All these tags are locked to their respective dynasties
- Added the Alexandria tag
- Alexandria can reform into Egypt if the Mamluks don't exist
- Fez, Sus, and Tafilalt can reform Morocco if it doesn't exist

Graphics
- Added the flags submitted by /u/DoktoroVexilologo from the Vexiology flag making contest
- Added a trebuchet mission icon ( /r/trebuchetmemes can now celebrate!) (Genomega)
- Added a new Icon for the French Feudal Vassal Subject type (Count Flandy)
- Went Pixel by Pixel and made Icons for the Age Objectives and Bonuses tweaks made (Count Flandy, but he'd LOVE a graphics artist to do this stuff from now on. Enjoy your Programmer art.)

Bug Fixes
- Yuan's Adjective is now Yuan, and not Mongolian. (Can we get a better ADJ at least? Open to suggestions. Not an Etymologist here)
- Blois and Montfort can no longer form France (Go form Brittany first you crazies)
- Blois and Montfort no longer have two seperate decisions to form Brittany
- Fixed most formables to show the provinces required to form them
- Jerusalem can now be formed in the Feudal age. Because, apparently we forgot the Crusades were a thing
- Fixed hundreds of tiny creepy crawly bugs. Like, there were a LOT
- Fixed an odd bug where Gascony never agreed the Hundreds Years war ended, and continued to hunt down French troops until the Gascons ceased to exist
- Fixed a bug where a handful of American Natives had no capital, yet had a capital
- Fixed an elusive bug that caused Auvergne to be a vassal of two nations at the same time, yet acted indepently while still acting like a vassal. (It was as weird as it sounds)
- Kingdom of Isles is now properly a Scottish Vassal
- Fixed an odd bug where Castile could be in 3 civil wars at the same time. (Generic Civil war, Castilian Civil war, and the War of Two Peters civil war)
- Chichen Itza now exists in Yucatan again (Community Bug-Report)
- Hussite Aspects no longer crash the game

Misc
- Franche-Comte renamed to "County of Burgundy" - Reasoning: Most tags we've added follow Vanilla's naming system of English, it would make more sense to name it "County of Burgundy" for consistancy's sake
- To prevent confusion, Franche Comte's Adjective was changed to "Lesser Burgundian" from "Burgundian" to prevent confusion with rebels or other situations
- Updated the Hints to reflect the removal of High Feudal Monarchy

Modular Improvements
- Seperated the 1356 Government Changes from Vanillas
