My Idea for the Colonial Regions:
Should only be in Africa, the Americas, and Oceania
Colonial regions:

Alaska(Basically the state of Alaska in HOI4)
West Canada(Excludes British Columbia)
East Canada
Eastern Seaboard(includes east of the Mississippi River not in Canada: but doesn't include Florida, the coast of Alabama, the coast of Mississippi, and the part of Louisiana east of the Mississippi.)
Florida: Includes all of the things I mentioned not to put in the Eastern Seaboard state
Louisiana: Includes all of the Louisiana purchase that wasn't in modern day Canada
California: Includes the territory of Alta California that Mexico had before the Mexican-American War
Columbia: Includes the states of Idaho, Washington, Oregon, part of Montana, and British Columbia.
Each island in the Caribbean Sea will have their own colonial region

Mexico: Includes Texas(full claim of Texas in 1836), New Mexico(Territory that mexico had pre-mexican-american war) Mexico obviously, and Central America(excluding Panama.)
Colombia: Includes Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Northern Peru.
Guyana: Includes the Guyanas(Guyana, Suriname, French Guyana)
Peru: Includes the rest of Peru
Bolivia: Includes Bolivia, Acre, and Chaco Boreal
Paraguay: Includes the rest of Paraguay
La Plata: Includes Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile
Brazil: Includes all of Brazil, excluding Acre.

North Africa: Includes Morocco(Excluding the Western Sahara), Algeria, and Tunisia.
Libya: Literally includes just Libya.
Egypt: Includes Egypt(excluding Sinai), and Sudan.
Horn of Africa: Includes Ethiopia, Eritea, Djibouti, and Somalia.(includes Somaliland)
West Africa: Includes basically the colony of French West Africa + Western Sahara, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Liberia.
Middle Africa: Includes Nigeria, Chad, Central Africa, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea.
Congo: Just includes the DRC.
Angola: Just includes Angola.
East Africa: Includes Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
Rhodesia: Includes Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe.
Mozambique: Just includes Mozambique.
South Africa: Includes Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Lesotho, and eSwatini.

New Zealand
Each HOI4 state of Australia should be it's seperate colonial region except Central Australia.
New Guinea
and the other islands.
