Plant on an existing grid

Is there any way to plant/put stuff in an existing grid? Let's say I used the actionqueue to put some traps on a square. If later I try and add more traps by drawing another square, it won't be on the same grid anymore. So, is it possible to make it use the same "grid" as the already placed traps?
