What should the Directional Pointer do?
I have no idea, so you give me your ideas!

I was perhaps thinking something that partially relates to the name of it.

Hows about it can be used to maneuver the TARDIS in a certain direction in flight mode? For example the space time throttle could change the speed of the flying TARDIS in the directional pointer changes the flight direction? And you could have it so that if the space time throttle is fully powered up, the TARDIS goes forward. Which means you could have the space time throttle be a certain amount forward like a... I don't know..... a... plane throttle? XD
I really have no idea but I do think it should change the flight direction so said flight maker goey forward would maneuver the TARDIS where the directional pointer is directionally pointering.

But you cant see witch way your going :/

I think the TARDIS should spin around while in flightmode and the directional pointer controls spin direction.

atom accelerator already does this

oh, in that case it should be part of a series of buttons you use to turn it invisible or remat or somthing...

Dematerialization lever already does that

Someone said to me that it should flip the tardis stablilisation, essentially making it go upside down for ceiling lands lol. What do you guys think?

Sounds fun

It could change gravity in the tardis or activate nanogenes to heal you like in the empty child

Those were examples, I think it should be part of a button sequence.
