Feature Request: TARDIS Shield
In the Journey to The Center of The TARDIS the doctor disables the shields and the TARDIS is almost destroyed just by being picked up by a ship. Also, in the Parting of Ways in Series 1 the Daleks fire is absorbed into the TARDIS shield. The shield in the TARDIS mod would be able to absorb about 50% damage done to the TARDIS, or the damage level for the TARDIS as it is now could increase and the shield could replace the normal damage level. But the shield will eventually die if too much damage is taken. When the shield dies the invisible shield will reveal itself as red and disintegrate.

If you steer the TARDIS into an object at high speeds there could be an animation that reveals the invisible shield for a few seconds. Like it does in the Series 7 Part 1 intro when the TARDIS is zapped by lighting. (the circular thing around the TARDIS)

The shield will only work if you do something that would damage the Tardis.
This would be so the collison box for the shield wouldn't interrupt the TARDIS when it goes into small spaces.
(If TARDIS steers into something at low speeds the shield will not enable)

There should be a way to turn this off......

I like the sound of that. The addon "Working Combine-Mech" has an invisible shield that appears briefly if a grenade or missile comes too close so it should be possible

Shields are possible but I fear they might be too OP or unbalanced.

What us you made then 50% less normal?

nor example. a shield would hold stuff out. what about limiting to what it can keep out. aswell and reduce its strength?

what if the sheilds only deflect bullets not people from going in, theres a difference between a forcefield and a sheild a force field keeps people from getting in and a sheild just protects from bullets

just thought of an idea what if theres a sheild and a force field the forcefield can only be active if the tardis is not flying or in the vortex and the sheild can be up whenever, except when the forcefield is up so the sheilds are turned off

Interesting, if you have this shield active it nerfs the rest of the abilities, like flight and what not possibly even disables entirely

the forcefield nerfs everything the sheild can be up pretty much at anytime the sheild keeps bullets out and the force field keeps people out they cant be active at the same time basically

You could also just make the shields a admin config option to if it is enabled or disabled

implying that matter's, this is the TARDIS, all it is is OP, for goodness sakes it ignores the laws of physics (TV: The Satan Pit)
