Condroc Syandana

I think this is a bit out of game.
I think it looks a bit over-realistic, if you could, try toning it down, I really love the syandana tho, reminds me of godzilla or something, y'know?

"over-realistic" the description states that its (lore wise) made of condrocs (the birds in the plains) and parts of the big orokin tower in the plains

lol it looks like it says it does so I don't get the problem

I think its a bit too organic for a tenno syandanna, but it's still a pretty decent job

I think the point that people are trying to make here is that it looks a little out of place on most frames. That said, it looks great. Just make it look a little more sci-fi and this would be amazing.

That would be because it's Ostron-made, not Tenno. Ostrons do not use high-tech equipment, save for what they scavenge from the Grineer (like the Fosfor flares that Nakak sells) or from the Orokin tower their city is founded around (their major buildings). Everything else they make is made from what they fish, hunt, gather or mine from the Plains.

This Syandana is made from Condroc wings and feathers, with a bone structure of Orokin metal lashed together with leather straps, and a central hub made from carapace plates from the Orokin tower. It's a fine example of typical Ostron craftsmanship.

My question would be: How rigid is the syandana? Rigid + organic on a syandana don't work too well together imo. Hopefully it has some cloth physics.

The feathers themselves will be hopefully clothed to reflect the organic feel of feathers.

looks like ♥♥♥♥ tbh

If you take assets already in game for the construction of this it'd be fine. In it's current state it looks out of universe and doesn't fit in with DE's guidelines; imo.

I don't get the "doesn't fit" in the game thing...

It literally just looks like the birds in Ostron. Looks 100% Ostron made.
That's why it looks weird, because we haven't had anything like that from them before

It's not using warframe assets, it's using different custom assets, it looks like a godzilla move more than a warframe thing, im sure if this gets accepted, DE will ask the guy to lower the details to make it less distracting, i'm sorry but it just doesn't fit in with most warframes, the excuse that it looks ostron is fine, but you have to realise, birds and warframes are different.

How might you change the syandana to fit what you think might be better? I enjoy constructive criticism so if you could express specifics it might help.

I'm not a model designer but what I think you could try to do is change the material a bit, maybe make the feathers (if possible) a bit sharper, sharpen up the edges, add some like glowing effects to the gem above the syandana, maybe (if u can) make the colors less pale, they seem really weak when on the syandana, maybe add some more robotic feel and etc, it's good as it is, I'm just saying it will look odd on some warframes like nova or chroma and etc.

This thing about "assets" seems thin to me... I mean, the condrocs in the game are birds with feathered wings. Those assests are therefore in the game. However, I don't know if 42nights has access to those assets, or if he designed it by creating a copy by sight.

I think the best way is to make this acceptable is the opposite of some of these suggestions... make it as realistic as possible, as if Hok himself zawed off the wings of a Condroc and Teasonai lashed them together with tower pieces provided by Suumbaat. I think the most important thing in my mind is getting the size right, since these seem a bit too large to be Condroc wings, unless they belonged to Big Daddy Condroc himself. I might be wrong, but if you can determine the scale of the condrocs and make sure these are "life-sized", I think that would make them much less "out of place." Also, the "eye-spot" on the upper center portion of the wings... I have not studied condrac wings enough to know if that is something they have or not. If not, I think it would be best to remove it, or make it look like Nakak added her personal touch by painting it on. Then you would just need to replace the floating gem with the Thousand-Year Fish so that ALL Ostron Merchants were represented! (Poor Hai-Luk...)

Oh, and not to berate anybody in particular, but seriously, people... we have Syandanas from Grineer, Corpus, and Infested (some of the Infested ones look like they have unique "assets" themselves that should likewise pose a "problem"), not too mention specialty ones from sub-groups like Kuva braids, and don't forget about all of the Syndicates. Explain too me hth this creation is any less "in-universe" than Nakak's operator masks? IMHO, this Syandana is WAY more applicable than those masks.

42nights, I just want to say excellent job of being original, innovative, and unique. I don't keep tabs on all of the Workshop entries, but I think yours is the first that is truly Ostron, an up until now under-represented Syndicate. I esp like how you wove in shiny metal parts that us Primers just go all goo-goo over, and the many energy color areas to make it all glowy, and not make it look garish, out of place, or that you were trying too hard to do so. Nicely done!

I like the way it is right now, organic as nothing wrong, there are plenty of examples in DE's own syandanas. I'd say wait to see if DE gives recomendations themselves. The only thing I think might make it dificult to get in is the gold details.
