In its current form, no, it doesn't have a chance. This piece didn't receive feedback which means they must have thought it was too far of a departure from the Warframe aesthetic.
I'm still trying to decide if I want to try and redesign it or not.
Wow, not even any feedback, huh?
That's a shame. I actually loved how these looked. I guess Tennogen really is just "do DE's job for them simulator" and not "bring in new, creative ideas for aesthetics". Whatever.
Maybe try making the blade-feathers fit together more, so they look less like individual pieces? Not like having them appear to all be one part, but like having them kind of all meet close to each other at the base, rather than straying apart from one another?
You could also try adding more complexity to the blade-feathers themselves. Make them have slightly more organic shapes, with a bit of "over-plating" if that makes sense. Like little smoothly-shaped external plates along the edges or something to really bring out the look.
The only other thing I could figure would be that the base color you chose really doesn't look all that appealing (no offense meant), it's the model itself that looks great. Maybe try white and red with blue energy, or black and green with green energy. Something like that.
I really do hope you don't give up and try redesigning these in a way that DE will hopefully approve of without sacrificing the general concept. Wings like this are something I've wanted to have in Warframe for a very long time now, and I doubt I'm alone.
Yeah I was a little surprised I had missed the mark by that much as to not warrant feedback haha. But I did reach out to verify it wasn't a mistake (I have a lot of items they had to review) and I was pointed to the Arcturus as an example of a similar theme.
So I'm guessing that these are just too mechanical/physical. I do have an idea for a redesign, but it would be a major shift in theme to being far more energy based. I would keep some physical element, but the main 'body' of the wings would probably be energy or something. I just have zero experience with custom emissive animations which is part of the reason I'm hesitant.
I could see that looking really nice if it's done right. I hope you go through with it. If it's anything like the image I have in my head, it might even look better than your original idea.
If similar looking were grounds to put out claims then the gaming space would be way less diverse than it is right now.
by this i mean that not every wing style is a copy from mercy's one
I would be very happy if this gets added to the game. As for the Mercy comparison, well there isnt one becides cybernetic wing augmentation. Mercy's wing style consits of 5 blades that extrude from a 2 part arm conponent with energy being the main trait. If you take a look at this, its simply a single (or looks to be a single) arm conponet with 2 conecting wings, the farther wing that splits into 3 and the closer splitting into 2.
Implying blizard would even have the guts to touch this would assume they are desperate to lose a case. If you even have the slightest google skills to look up "Substantial similarity" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Substantial_similarity for those of us who care too little to source our material from crediable sites (Scroll down to the very bottom and look at the darn sources on the page if you want something credible) you can easily find that this is nothing similar to Mercy. Simply just bring up both image's up side by side and you can immediatly discredit this.
The point mentioned in the link posted above is that basically, blizard has no ground to stand on for this.
