Galactic Conquest freeze
Ok, so since I got that freeze in the endgame of my first game (like 350-450 weeks in) I cannnot play even for 100 weeks before the game freezes for some reason and I need to close it manually via task manager. Does somebody know how to fix this or atleast what causes it? It almost feels like the AI is stuck in an infinite loop not being able to decide what to do or trying to do something it could in vanilla and buggering up because of it.

I am playing the non-steam version with original disks.

I am playing with the steam version, right now its like week 70 with the empire.
I have 5-10 min freezes, and after it ends i can play like 2 mins on "normal" speed. Then freeze again, then 2 min, then freeze.....

If you pause the game, the freeze is gone, you can save, load, exit, but of course cant do anything gameplay relevant thing (except building) because it is paused.

In my rebel playthrough, which was longer the freezes started around week 120 and were shorter. It sucked, but at least it was playable. Right know i am stuck with theese long freezes.
