Awakening or Civil War?
What is the difference between the two galactic campaings, Awakening of the Rebellion and Galactic Civil war, that both seem to start the same except Civil War has more planets.

If my memory serves me right, the Awakening GC won't allow you to become the NR. Civil War should have all events. Equal Footings should be the same GC, but without the Black Sun. Or was it the other way around?
I should really install Aotr again. Sorry.

I personally prefer Awakening, although both mods have their merits. Civil war has more factions, and more planets although the weapons fire way to fast and way too many shots for my liking (it practically fills the entire screen)
Awakening is a more challening mod with really well done (and modelled) units, but it does suffer from performance problems on higher difficulties past week 100. (caused by the ai moving units. killing the ai solves this problem). Also, you can become the NR in awakening, or start as the NR is one of the campaigns. the main campaign also has special story missions

Awakening is a smaller map with less planets
- takes place before the first Death Star is destroyed so there should be a few new events
-- might also not allow you to make the New Republic

the other 3 use the same bigger map:
Equal Footing has all 3 factions
Civil War only has Empire and Rebels.
-- both start after the destruction of the first Death Star

New Republic has all 3 factions except the rebels are already the New Republic
- it starts after the Battle of Endor, the destruction of the 2nd Death Star and the liberation of Coruscant.
