Believe it or not, its due to the update Petroglyph made to the base game so that file size would not be an issue for save/loading. before the update, files of a certain size would not load, causing problems for both vanilla and mods (mostly mods). Its not just with this mod, but across the board, even Thrawn's Revenge has issues with this.

Thanks for the reply. I also noticed, that loading levels (maps) takes much longer, sometimes they don't load at all, it just hangs. So I assume, that the loading time may be connected to the loading of the reset map along with the save file.
