Death Star quest question (spoilers)

I regarded the mission as similar to the original game where there basically wasn't any deadlines, so I went about expanding to the east rather than to Endor. The Emperor ended up killing moff Jerjerrod as punishment. Is it possible to still take Endor and build the Death Star or do I have to start over?
