On top of that, I ran into a similar issue as Anonemous1 -- when I tried casting Shapeshift spells on my Argonian, he retained several of his facial features, such as his horns, feathers, chin spikes and scars. I'd assume this can be fixed using the Modify Appearance spell, but as mentioned above, that doesn't appear to work.
A minor issue, likely tied into whatever hiccup in the programming is causing the previous two bugs, is that when I've cast either of the aforementioned spell types and try to open up a window, such as the Spells window or Items tab, the game crashes. It might appear like a major issue, but were I a betting man, I'd wager it could be fixed by correcting whatever's causing the other gameplay bugs that preceded it.
Will report back with any others I stumble upon during playtesting. This mod's a clever idea, and I'd very much like to see it fixed up and completed.
Edit 1: Found another one -- using Polymorph spells on humanoid targets appears to only change them from the neck down, leaving their head untouched. (Using it on non-humanoid targets, like wolves or mudcrabs or what have you, causes them to turn invisible -- though given that they still were hitting me, I'd say they were still there.)
Hey Nitri,
Wow, you really delved deep into this mod haha! I really do appreciate the testing. Unfortunatley I will not continue working on this mod. I would be willing to hand over the reins of development if somebody were so inclined, but I do not have the time to continue with this endeavor. As for your concerns, I have no idea why you were unable to bring up the race menu through the modify appearence spell, since the spell itself (if I am remembering correctly) is just a wrapper around the ~showracemenu console command. I would start by trying to see if that terminal command works, if not there could be another mod interfering with the spell.
Cheers,
Komodo
