BogusWare

Description
BogusWare is a Survival map, but unlike conventional Survival maps. Instead of fighting off enemies every wave, you must complete a set of consecutive "microgames" to win. These microgames are varying and can have you traverse a small obstacle course, avoid airstrikes, or even participate in a game of Simon Says! After all the microgames are over, there is but one last obstacle before victory is yours - the Boss Minigame.

Features:
  • Play twenty-eight different microgames, each varying in difficulty and length.
  • Customize round length - either play until 10, 20 or 30 microgames.
  • Six challenging boss minigames which are the final obstacle between you and victory.
  • Support for up to 20 player co-op!
  • Game switches that change the level in interesting ways.
  • Of course - endless fun (and maybe mild frustration).

The obvious inspiration for this map is noam 2000's "Serious Ware" Survival level, for Serious Sam 3: BFE. That level in turn was inspired by the Team Fortress 2 mod "TF2Ware" by Mecha the Slag and TonyBaretta, which IN TURN was inspired by the "Wario Ware[www.mariowiki.com]" series of games by Nintendo. So thanks to all the people that made all those things possible!

Another thanks goes out to SeriousCsaba for his Ammo Crate Resource Pack, which is used in one of the boss minigames.

The soundtrack used in this mod is original and created by Brian "ZynChroMaTiK" Darmi. Massive kudos to him! I have his full permission to use this soundtrack in my mod.

Found 3 glitches:
1.glitch: Bulls won't die after "SUCCES"!
2.glitch: 3 green answer-spots, I'm outside and don't enter one of them then "SUCCES"!
3.glitch: Survive the lava, I don't think that works.

Thanks for the fast reply! And yes I do agree it can take out the challenge but it might be good for starters :p

I *think* this might be possible - although it'd really take the challenge out of it, but that's just how I see it. Anyway, I'll have a look soon.

Is it possible to add a switch to always respawn players compared to respawning mid-game? Not so fun if you'll never catch up on points. It's also kind of bad if there are too few players (or even just one checking all the microgames and bosses). I guess because I was a huge TF2Ware player I want it to play the same way :/ Gamemode is awesome regardless, I hope I get to play this with more than my two friends >>

Hey AKoverlord, add me and I'll put together a version with the original soundtrack for you.

We had the idea to put original music to submit the mod for the ModDB #SERIOUSMOD contest, because WarioWare's soundtrack is copyrighted. Ask Mauritsio for a mod package without my music.:flowey:

hey, anyway to slam back in the old music? i find the old wario music for cheesy and therefore fitting of such a silly game mode...

Thanks for all your positive comments! It's kept me motivated to make a brand new update! The new changes are an amazing custom soundtrack by ZynChroMaTiK, aswell as game switches, which change the gameplay of the level in various ways. Some balancing issues and bugs have also been addressed. You can check the full changelog by clicking "(view)" under the mod's release date.
