MetroPed (modular stations with pedestrian underground access)
23 items
Modular 1 platform MetroPed station (direct underground pedestrian access)
- 1 platform at -12m
- pedestrian tunnel conections at -8m

For MOM users: MetroPed modular MOM station. It's a different designed version, one station, fully scalable, used also to create multiple platform hubs ingame

You have to take the following steps, otherwise the pink paths are not working:
  • subscribe to More Network Stuff and have it active
  • open Asset Editor, load any asset and then start/load a game
  • You have to go to surface with at least one pedestrian tunnel,

More info:

- Vanilla props
- It's one of the test variants, it requires anarchy in one or 2 corners and the ped path is going to surface, but it's fun to watch the flow of passengers, using all exits

Tips and tricks for editing in Asset Editor:

-you can add more pink connections to each side of a platform, like multiple stairs, but:
-the cims will use only one pink connecion for one side of that platform, to enter the platform, which makes the design of stairs at the ends of the platform almost useless in terms of splitting the flow and helping cims from outside to reach faster the station. They will move all the way to the other end and enter that path, instantly. I do not think it has to do with pathfinding, I tried several times. But:
- the fun part is they will use all the avalable pink paths to exit that side of platform, if you have more than one. So, it could be useful, at least they will have shorter paths to exit
- the pink paths do not require to be in the middle of the platform side
- you can connect the two sides of platform with pink(platform level)-tunnel (higher or lower)-pink (platform level), not directly through the middle. See this asset design
- you cannot connect platform direct to ped tunnel, you need pink path
- connecting all the loose ends of tunnels in Asset Editor creates a point with 0 height (of course, you do not know which one) somewhere on the circle, at one of the junctions, that's why you have to connect ingame, where it doesn't create that.

Maybe I should write a guide with all information I aquired designing MetroPed :)

Thanks to everybody who made this asset possible.

Please, don't forget to rate it.

he he ...thanks @Termite

I've just posted an entrance for street corner MetroPed Entrance Diagonal

I've also redesigned the first one, as intended. Only one ped connection, in front, under the road MetroPed Entrance perpendicular

@ jamonbread1 I do not like the way the default pedestrian path tunnels look when emerging to the surface either. So I use the two metro ped entrances @ cacamaca8 has made and connect them to the underground paths. Much neater that way.

Thanks. About 100-120 hours for several assets. I know it's crazy, because I can do one of those in 5 minutes. But I experienced repeatet conflicts between Advanced Building Editor, Asset AI Changer etc. Couldn't place props because assets were broke, subscribed, unsubscribed, uninstall install, finding it's not working without MNS, error error instance array missing agan load delete why it's not working because 1 hour ago it was delete unsubscribe no empty transport template I want noise area and underground layer park does not have it whatever suicidal thoughts teleporting cims at joints 0 meters height in random corner draw pink paths in different directions and joining them one in one out two in one out everything out etc :)

I hope the pedestrian paths are not emerging directly from this station and you are talking about pedestrian tunnels exits. You can use the MetroPed exit I designed, it's only 1x2 squares :)

Very interesting! This looks like it was hard o make so kudos to you. Great for relieving some pedestrain traffic at key intersections above I imagine. Downside is, which has nothing to do with this great asset is Im not a fan of how the pedestrian paths emerge from underground but maybe I'll just use move it and dump some buildings on the exits.
