Ib is a free game, you should have a look at it if you haven't. As I said before, you'll find a rose that acts as HP, when it's a full rose you have 5 HP, and each time your hit by something, whether it's one of the living paintings or the shadow-hands that appear out of the wall, it withers slightly, and your character recieves wounds (Well, you don't see the wounds, it's explained later on by a character you meet that explains that when his rose got damaged he got cuts and bruises). Fun game, unless you have no water vases to 'heal' your rose....
That sounds good and deep
