Day of Infamy - Donner

This is a revamp of Day of Defeat’s iconic “donner” for the WW2 mod “Day of Infamy”. You have to subscribe to Day of Infamy in order to play this map. There are both daytime and night-time versions of the map.

Supported game modes:

Firefight: Three objectives. Fight your way through the streets, but be cautious as you only have a single life. Reinforcements will only come if you capture an objective.

type “map doi_donner firefight” in the console to play this mode with bots. You may have to type “ins_bot_quota 8” in your console as well.


Skirmish: Five objectives. Skirmish encourages you to use the flanking routes to your advantage in order to sneak into the enemy’s lines to destroy their weapon cache – but make sure you protect yours too!

type “map doi_donner skirmish” in the console to play this mode with bots. You may have to type “ins_bot_quota 8” in your console as well.


Occupy: One objective. Battle over the disabled tank in the middle of the map. Have your teammates back you up with support from the buildings surrounding the area as you capture the point.

Type “map doi_donner occupy” in the console to play this mode with bots. You may have to type “ins_bot_quota 8” in your console as well.


Outpost (Co-op): Cycle between defending two radio points. Fight as long as you can! Try to set up crossfires with your teammates to make sure the enemy can’t close in on you.

Type “map doi_donner outpost” in the console to play this mode. Friends are recommended!


First, open your console and type “heartbeat” (no quotations for any of these commands). Press enter.

Then type “ map <the map you want> <wished gamemode>”

So for example if I wanted to play skirmish on the daytime version I would type “map doi_donner skirmish”

The map should load, once you are in the server type “status” in the console.

This should give you some information. You want to give your friends the first set of numbers in the udp/ip section before the colon. So it will look something like 192.192.1.2

You want to give this number to your friends and tell them to type “connect <the number that you gave them>. This should let them connect and play with you.

Sometimes you might be able to join off of steam friends or from the server browser. This didn’t work for me all the time.

If you want to change the level just type “changelevel <mapname> <gamemode>” (eg. “map doi_donner outpost”)
To keep bots from joining type “ins_bot_quota 0”

Sorry, I know this is a hassle. If there is an easier way to do this that I’m unaware of please let me know.
