Description
*Important note: The patchlogs sound like they did not touch anything the mod does, but I can't be sure. If you encounter issues within the mod let me know.

This mod gives the player the ability to change to any religion through the religion screen, and expands the variety of religions available.
Most of these religions got new custom religious symbols, and a few already existing symbols were changed too. Future updates will expand the graphical variety of these religions and their deities. The mod is available in English, German, French and Spanish

The following religions have been added to the vanilla roster with new symbols.
Atheism

Catholic offsprings:
Bogomilism, Catharism, Fraticelli, Hussites (with DLC mechanics), Waldensians, Lollardism, Episcopal Church, Morningstar (Satanism)

Orthodox offsprings:
Arianism, Iconoclastism, Messalianism, Monophysitism, Monothelitism, Nestorianism, Paulicianism

Islam
Alevi, Ash'ari (Creed), Druze, Hurufi, Kharijite, Zikri

Middle East
Jewish
Karaite, Samartian
Yazidi, Zoroastrianism - Mazdaki

Asian
Confuncianism (New Symbol)
Daoism, Dayawism, Jain, Native Tamil Religion (kind of predecessor of Hinduism)
Shindogyo (Korean folk religion), Wuism (Shamanistic part of Daoism)

Every polytheistic religion got 6 of its own deities to chose from and a short description for each one of them. Every religion also got sounds from the vanilla game. You can see their stats in the images above.

Future updates:
At the moment, some new added religions share the same symbols and deity symbols, and this will be changed in the future.
I will also work on balancing and changes in the stats of the religions are possible. I'm open for suggestions there too.
I would like to add events and requirements for religion change in the future, this might be done in a separated mod for everyone who prefers it. But I have to look into the matter how to do these things first.

The mod is available in English and German.

2018.12.31 - Deactivated Church Powers for Waldensian and Hussite, changed Hellenic Pagan to use Ares instead of Hades.
2019.05.25 - Fixed a CTD when harmonizing with Pagan Religions. (thanks to Hyper for pointing it out)
2019.07.16 - Updated icons for Druze, Etruscan and Roman paganism.

2022.07.20 - Added Morningstar, a Christian Church believing in Lucifer Morningstar instead, added just for fun
2023.11.24 Updated Totemism to support DLC mechanics, fixed localisation error for Mahdavism.
2023.12.03 - Re-added Morningstar (Satanism), which must have been deleted by accident months ago. Adjusted colours for a few monotheistic religions.
2023.12.30 - Fixed a crash caused by a missing modifier for Wuism and Shindogoyo.
2024.01.09 - Added changes to UI related files.
2024.02.17 - Fixed a bug with the aspect selections for Samaritan and Karaite and Kemetic deities.

Known (and so far unsolvable) bugs:
Waldensian and Hussite church powers have been deactivated as they crash the game, I cannot find the reason why.

Does the AI convert to these religions as well or do they stick to being historical?

It's because waldensian and reformed are mixed code names in file. Simply replace reformed = { after "# Waldensian Religion" line to, well, "waldensian = {" and it should work.

My friends and I went through the entire 00_religion.txt file trying to fix reformed, it honestly looks like it should work. We even copied the on_covert code from Protestantism (does work) to Reformed, but it still is broken. From what we can tell the game *does* convert you to reformed before converting you again to NO RELIGION.

Anmaril, hopefully you have better luck fixing your mod than I did.
