OT: Still I'm waiting for colossal order to let the computer be the limit and not the game. I know that they want it keep playable for the min-spec users, but they shoud include a checkbox in options with something like "ignore all limits - WARNING: Your system might run slow!" or something like that.
I have compared the d and i textures of this asset and my regina trains and the text colors and illumination values are about the same, but the text glows more orange on the regina. The difference between the trains is that the regina use a font size of 18 for the display texts while the text on this train use a font size of only 6. I think the text might be too small and fuzzy for colored glow to work.
Regarding the bogies: I thought about doing them as separate cars as you described. But I read that the game have a limit on the number of vehicles that can be spawned, and I thought therefore that making the bogies part of the wagons were the better option.
anyway, while I look at the jakob-bogies of the train I see some problems in curves and a possible way to fix them / make them less odd looking:
You can try to make the bogie a seperate "car" for the game and add a cylinder instead a block ontop of it to simulate the "accordion". for this to work you should keep the origin of the "passenger cars body" in place and set the origin of the bogie to the middle between the wheels lowest edges (After you have rejoined both halves of the bogie, of course!).
I would test this concept by myself, but I havn't plans for trains with jakob bogies right now, but I think this would turn out fine ;)
I hope you can follow my explanation :)
