Disable Sheet Metal

This mod is now definitely responsible for stopping all prisoner intake when activated during a game. Such a shame as sheet metal = not actually making money as they use this instead of the gazillion tonnes of wood in the workshop...

This mod conflicts with Island Bound, with the freight helicopters somehow.

Is it not possible to make it so shipments of sheet metal require a press to be accepted? So you can still have the option of license plates but make it depend on getting a press?

I for one would enjoy a compromise. The Saw makes wood, while a new object, the metal cutter simply cuts the sheet metal for the press. I don't know if it's possible to re-code the saw to only accept logs as its input, but given the many mods I see on the workshop, it's not impossible, right?

One night I decided to dump all the sheet metal from the saws. It got filled with logs and seemed to work nicely. But once the logs where used up, tons of sheet metal was ordered, flooding the whole workshop, costing me a few thousand $ for the metal sheet plus the superior bed production was put to a halt.

THANK YOU for bringing an end to that. I was worried the mod might not work anymore on newer versions (even though this functionality hasn't changed in years).

But, good news, the mod still works with version-2c. No performance issues for me at all, does exactly what is advertised. Would use again. ;-)

@Trixi, Fair point, I am looking into putting in a Sheet Metal supply crate, like the sappling one, that will allow sheet metal to still be used with custom logistics that allow controlling which workshops get the sheet metal

@Shu, The only lag/crashes I have he were do to other mods with unoptimised lua scripts. I would suggest looking into disabling all other mods and seeing if your issues persist.

that with the sheetmetal is very interesting, didnt found out, but im not like to disable content ....
