LOOOVVVE IT!!! Buuuttt... This is the '71. Would love to have the '70. That was mine. Had gas-operated eyelids (brilliant design--engine charged the valves; that way, if she was parked too long, the gas/air would bleed out, opening the eyelids) and fin-style taillights.

Wish I could find another one IRL. Pull the 390ci engine and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and drop in a 400hp Tesla motor and mess of batteries in that HUUUGGGE engine bay along with the 23gal tank! A boy can dream. Sigh.

@ApollonDriver : Oh, good point, it is actually already there but had a different name. Renamed it to "(PROP) Ford Country Squire", now it should be easier to find

That's a 1971. They dropped the eyelids that year. I had a 1970 LTD Country Squire with a 390ci V8 in dark green. It had eyelids that matched the grill. They were gas-operated to close. So, if you didn't run the car for a few days, the gas would bleed out, allowing the eyelids to reopen. Pretty cool design.

Grew up in an Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser in the 70s and 80s that looked just like this. Awesome, thanx for bringing back so many good memories!!!!

Love it! Ford actually made a "sport utility" version of this. You could get it with cool hideaway headlights and a hot 429. I was very tempted to buy one a couple years ago I found on the web. Thnks for thge cool car!
