Klondike Creek

Description
Klondike Creek is a mountain valley inspired by the areas surrounding northern gold rush settlements in the Yukon and coastal British Columbia. Fast flowing river rapids and plenty of ore if you can get to it first (and plenty of forestry too, naturally).

Notes:
- I wanted fast flowing mountain river rapids, so the rivers are fairly shallow and thin. Dams are probably not the greatest idea because of that.
- The ore mining is plentiful in the mountains, but it can be hard to get to.
- Plenty of fertile land along the rivers, and lots of forestry for you to take advantage of along the mountainside. There's even a small oil deposit up in the top corner of the map.
- All transport connections are available.

Can you let me know where exactly in Yukon the terrain is taken from? Just so I can get inspiration from nearby places.

I just started building on this map and it's beautiful. I can't wait to turn it into something amazing. The first thing I did was build a dam [imgur.com] because it fit so perfectly in the mountains.

Started playing on this map and so far I like it! I optmised a bit before playing, removing trees from the river, relocating woods so I can have wood industry on the starting tile and reducing number of trees overall, to give me more reserve to place them myself. Oh, and I added 2 beaches. ;-) Might also be a good idea to have more completely flat terrain on the starting tile, but that, as all the other small things I changed, is a matter of taste.
