Subway for 4 or 6 lane roads

解説
Subway for 4 or 6 lane roads by ricl

Place two of these directly opposite each other on any 4 or 6 lane road to create a Subway/Pedestrian Underpass under the road.

I guess I don't get how to link these. It's a great idea.

@ fgf

The game engine seems to make some strange decisions at times. The shortest path is always directly across the road. If, for whatever reason, it can't find any other paths, the that is what it will take.

I'll see what I can do (may require a different path pattern).

Hey mate these are quite cool but there is a small issue with them. Its not a gameplay issue but a visual bug. Some passengers simply cross the road where these is no white line crossing. This is if you place the metro station on an internal corner and the subway on the opposite side.

@mieczyslav

I am busy on doing a 4 track train station based on the CR model (extended) but I will get round to it sooner or later :)

For SimFirehouse's (MTSE) tutorial all about manipulating the paths.

@ben.polk

Any pedestrian crossing close by will make this (and any pedestrian bridges) useless. The path length is shorter across the road than over (or under) it. Either build away from a junction or remove the crossings.
