If you like, you can easily add a walkway cross over the roundabout, like seen in the third image. Or you can add other fancy stuff, like in the fourth image :)

This is exactly the same as my other roundabout -> http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=418334108, but with upper walkways. These walkways make it even more effective, but they need slightly more space.
